And to think your family is supposed to have your back.
I hope it all works out for you.
Thats what i thought. My family have, But they live 70 miles away from me, So its not like I am able to stay there where we are welcome.
I have found out today they have signed the papers for the house to go on the market, and they are planning for it to be live for sale the week start the 16th April..
All this whilst.... wait for it......... They are on HOLIDAY!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:0 -

Indeed.
At which point... the process of using the law to force a sale when you with children are living there would become incredibly difficult and expensive for them. The courts are very reluctant to make children homeless, and might well order that the sale should be delayed until the youngest child is 18.0 -
Sadly another thread where family and money should never mix, it has come down to money now and not family first, really sad.
Will be saving this thread for anyone contemplating getting a mortgage other than for your self and partner"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

i dont understand why your OH is going along with it - id cut my family off and go to court if i had to, all to stop myself, wife and son being homeless.0

I am wondering if this family is from another culture where family is all as I cannot imagine such a scenario tbh, no-one I know would tolerate this at all.0

Yes, and I think that I can guess the culture... None the less, they are in the UK now and so bound by English or Scottish law. I do hope that the OP is taking proper legal advice.0 -

What are you basing this on because it's not true? It's not even a given for divorcing couples.0
