Sort it first thing or you aren't going to have a seat to sit on when you are looking at where the tv used to be.

As long as the amount requested is paid to the door step
    company, that will not happen

The OP should also see these youtube videos to which
    there are many interesting points

    Hi Beamerguy,
do you say resolve with the council or Equita

You have to resolve it with someone or you will get
a ring at the doorbell and at that stage, they either
collect payment in full or take goods

    DO IT FIRST THING TOMORROW

Having read through the thread I'm concerned it's a genuine possibility. The op needs to sort this out.

Yes, I started with #1 and could not see it was the
private parking scam but a council scam instead.

The OP has no option and the shock will be that the amount
jumps up 3 score at least

I don't like it but as we know, strapped cash councils
will do anything to get money

    Thanks for all the support.
I still think that when I started the thread it was for a private scam, because the Equita reference in this last letter does not match with the reference in the first letter.

Also the last letter states that a "Notice of Enforcement " has been issued and that is not the case.

I will phone the council tomorrow and see if they would accept a payment or not.

    Quick update:
I tried to phone the council 4 to 5 times, only answering machine responding, so left a message.
Also now made a pepipoo account, as suggested here.
Paid the PCN via the council website. Not sure about the use of this.
Now planning to fill a Out of Time statement for TEC.

    It's Saturday!

It also won't stop Equita chasing their piece of the pie. It may well alert Equita to what's happening.

I hope they don't get wind of what's going on else they will be lifting the widescreen before you can say "can't pay we'll take it away".

The update was about Friday when I started phoning the council from 9 am till 4pm.
I have accepted the penalty and hope to get out of this with the least trouble now I know this is about a PCN. I am doing the steps that I have read on pepipoo (except for paying).

My original post is still valid and if I receive something about that ( now Equita knows that I live on my current address) I will come back to you if that is okay. I am expecting for Equita to start chasing their other bills which I still don't know what it is for.
