I am sure if you created a sheet of kWh and Standing charges then made it a collaborative document on a cloud link that you post here, others would be grateful.

King Canute and the boy with his finger in the dam come to mind. Look at this link to see how frequently tariffs change:

    https://www.ukpower.co.uk/home_energy/price_updates

Ofgem used to offer a standing charge/ unit price comparison (based on a given standard usage) called the Tariff Comparison Rate on PCWs but dropped the requirement about 8 months ago.

It must be infectious. Even Utility Week was reporting yesterday that Iresa had been stopped from taking on new customers by OFWAT. Has OFGEM been taken over? If so, it can only be a good thing.

I shouldn't have released that information as it is Top Secret and part of the Brexit negotiations;)

    Thanks Hengus

I now have the price alert club thingy from this site, so far it has never emailed me, so I tested it the other day and it said it had nothing cheaper than what I was payinng with Solarplicity.

Not sure why but Canute and separate story of finger in the dyke make me think of Brexit and Labour Privatising utility companies.

i've just changed to Octopus Energy, started swopped Feb 28th, switch date was 15th March. I ran a quote using a referral code. It gave me 3 options, light user, med or heavy - I choose medium. This is my rates.

    Your tariffs Electricity
    Octopus 12M Fixed February 2018 v1

Unit rate 13.43p per kWh Standing charge 18.90p per day

    Gas
    Octopus 12M Fixed February 2018 v1

Unit rate 2.89p per kWh Standing charge 18.90p per day

Website is easy to use, no exit fees either. It took me under 10 mins to sign up, I received confirmation emails immediately and my own referral code to use and earn £50 credit each time someone joined via my code. So, by me joining via the referral link I earned £50 credit to the account once my dd had been paid the 1st time. But I earnt that person whos referral code it was £50 credit too. I've shared my code and others have signed up, so once their switch has gone ahead and dd collected, I will be credited £300 to my account, though one has just been credited so I've 5 more to go.

Run a quote and check here's the link to see what your rate would be [Removed]

Hope this info helps someone x

In truth, the site gave you 4 options: the latter option being to enter your projected annual consumption in kWhs/year which is by far the most accurate way of making a comparison and setting up a new account.

Thanks all. Guess it doesn't exist then. The Economy 10 link was just to show a rough idea. I'm coming up to the end of my 12 month deal and wanted to see if there was raw data i could compare, rather than start at the comparison sites. Oh well, if i get bored, i my start my own comparison site!
