Comparison search by KWh and Standing charge

That information is available on most(every?) comparison websites.
Enter any kWh figure(true or invented) and they list every tariff - clicking on each tariff gives the kWh price, the daily standing charge and any discounts. You also need to bear in mind that prices are different for each geographic area.
For example on energyhelpline by entering some kWh figures for a Midlands postcode it lists scores of tariffs. By clicking on 'plan details' for any tariff, it lists over a page of detail of prices and conditions for that tariff.0 -
Cheap energy with high standing charges or expensive energy with low standing charges can cost the same.
The overall cost is all that matters.0 -
On their own those 2 figures are of little relevance until combined with your annual kWh consumption figure which is precisely what the energy comparison sites do for you.0

Is there any site, where i can see up to date information of each suppliers KWh charge and daily standing charge for electricity??
To me, this is the most logical way to compare, but obviously, they won't be giving this kind of info out too easily. What?
TIA! Simon
That's what comparison sites do...0 -
Let me be a little more clear....an excel spread sheet or direct comparison for all companies. A bit like this:
https://economy10.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/economy10-com-survey-results-dec-20163.pdf
The comparison sites have their uses, but don't always show all the companies, and make it hard to click through to get to the raw data.0 -
But why ? It is not something that anybody really wants as it is of no real use without that all important third factor. The comparison sites will between them list the majority of suppliers and tariffs and do all the hard work for you. The one linked to could be considered useful as E10 data is not available from comparison sites.0

As it says on your link; "It's a complicated business pulling these prices together, so please email info@economy10.com if you spot any errors."
Your link is just for Scotland, and only one tariff. How much more complicatedwould it be to keep track of 100+ tariffs that change almost daily in 11 geographic areas.
Well that is what the comparison websites have to do; and they are regulated by Ofwat. Their incentive of course is commission for those customers who switch tariffs using their services.0 -

It must be infectious. Even Utility Week was reporting yesterday that Iresa had been stopped from taking on new customers by OFWAT. Has OFGEM been taken over? If so, it can only be a good thing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I was very surprised to see different tariff rates, slightly, and standing charges when I checked Iresa Energy s latest Eco 7 rates best yearly fix on Simply Switch and Uswitch .For the exact same 42% rate average night rate usage Simply Switch were charging more than Uswitch.Just a penny or so on dsc and the rates but enough to make a difference.Beware of Simply Switch ! . Check Cheap Energy Club and Uswitch as well.
Maybe that is why they can give a little more cashback because they have inflated the rates.
Iresa are not showing at the moment on comp sites due to another OFGEM paddy with them0 -

I can totally understand why you would want this, but what the price comparison sites take into account are the other factors, is the area you live in, introductory discounts vs annyal ones and so on.
Use the PCS to create a shortlist, use uswtich which has an option to compare all sites(including ones they can't sign you up to), then come back here and say that the company you are with now is your supplier to see if that brings up anything better. Bear in mind the PCS assume you will use more energy than you do now.
Note that some suppliers ask for their site not be included in certain areas because they are getting overloaded with enquiries. This is usually temporary but it happens.
I use Solarplicity which has no standing charge and guarantees a lower kWh rate than the top 6, based on my usage, this site congratulates me on beating anything they have to offer and says if I want to pay more I can go to Scottish Power. Yet even they have a one off discount and give free LED bulbs
I am sure if you created a sheet of kWh and Standing charges then made it a collaborative document on a cloud link that you post here, others would be grateful.0
