Considered to be an old but super reliable boiler. As it pre-dates efficiency testing the range may be in the region of 55 -70% efficient. Hard to know.

IMO it's better to keep the old boiler working for as long as possible and putting a few bob away for the time when it's definitely past it.
As said above, you aren't really going to get a sensiible payback if all you are trying to do is save money.
I only changed our boiler because water was pouring out of the badly corroded cast iron heat exchanger and that, apart from a gas valve and a burner, was all there was to it. (my next door neighbour kept the gas valve & burner as spares for his boiler).
