Hi all
I was looking to invest in the FTSE Global All Cap Index Fund before end of tax year.
Sadly the platforms I can use (due to work dealing restrictions) don't offer it or I have to invest 100k.
Could someone advise a similar fund or maybe a Diy alternative please. The simpler the better.
This particular fund really appealed as it seems to be a true reflection of the world capitalisation.
I could invest in vls100 but the skew towards the UK puts me off a bit
thanks

HSBC FTSE ALL World?0

Or the VWRL ETF.
No small caps, but they would have only a small impact.I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -
The FTSE All World Index is large companies only.
As far as I know the Vanguard FTSE All Cap World Index Fund is the only one tracking that index.0 -
Or if you want a bit less US exposure than a Global or World fund and less UK bias than VLS100 consider Blackrock Consensus 100.0

Fidelity World index fund might be another option?0

IWDG? Large and mid cap, with 60% US exposure. 1651 companies.
add WOSC as the small cap element.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB0 -

It's an option in that it's a tracker fund that invests around the world based on company size, but it's a couple of steps removed from the Global All Cap. It's not All Cap because it only holds large and medium sized companies, and it's not properly global because it only focuses on the countries that MSCI consider to be "developed" rather than emerging markets.
So unlike a FTSE All- World or MSCI ACWI index funds, which compared to the FTSE Global All Cap are merely missing the smaller companies weighting; if you use something tracking MSCI World you also have to go and buy an Emerging Markets fund too.0 -

yes, Self Trade confirmed that is the case.
I could try HL, but their fees are higher and it will start to mount up as intend on putting in another 20k early next tax year.0 -
I'm always surprised that there's only the one Vanguard fund that does this. I'm thinking of just buying that for all my equity exposure.0
