I must be honest and admit I dont really understand much of what the appeal template means.
    An appeal that essentially says:
the signs are dodgy, the driver didn't agree to a contract to pay you money, so stop processing my data & cancel it, or give me a POPLA code

...isn't hard to understand. So please don't tell us you don't understand the appeal wording.

The driver went at the lunch time and the car park was full so they parked outside the restaurant not in a marked bay. They were not causing obstructions or badly parked. The PCN states thats why they have got the ticket.
OK, so forget the Equality Act.

Stick with the plan in the NEWBIES thread and stop looking for something different!

I've been reading some of the threads since I posted this and i'm starting to wonder if its all worth it. As much as it bothers me to pay £60 for an unfair ticket i've seen people posting that they have spent hours compiling a defence against popla etc. I earn about £15 and hour before tax, thats four hours overtime to pay this ticket and then its done out of my hair. I could spend hours compiling a defence and still lose.

I guess what i'm trying to say is, should i just pay it and be done with it? I suffer with anxiety and this makes me nervous.

Does the shopping centre have a Facebook page? If so why not write this up on there.

If you do not understand the appeal template, you need to give this a lot more time, or pay it. Most people who come here are prepared to put in the hours because it is a scam, and by fighting it you can cost the PPC a lot more money than they are asking for.

They are mainly ex clampers who use lies and threats to obtain money from the vulnerable and the stupid, (and of course those who suffer from anxiety).

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.

    Hi The deep,

Thanks for your reply. Thats a good idea about the facebook page. Ive checked and they do have one which is littered with lots of similar stories to mine. Arena Coventry haven't responded to any of them so it makes me think they are probably not interested. I've emailed them direct and will see what they reply. I'll give them a chance to resolve it before i leave a review.

And feed a scam (Hansard 02/02/18)? If I send you a stress-raising invoice, any chance you'll send me £100? How do you get on with The Very Reverend Mizumi M'Kumbo when he emails you asking you to receive $20million on behalf of his Nigerian orphanage - just let him have your bank details along with a deposit of £500 via Western Union.

Have a read about serious scams and scambaiting to help you realise that what you're dealing with is very manageable.

Have you got to day 26 yet? All that is required is a copy and paste of the template from the NEWBIES. Surely you can manage that for the initial appeal stage.

PoPLA appeals involve copying and pasting about four template appeal points, and making a few text changes.

£15 per hour? Many of us who help here are pensioners on a lot less than that, but will happily give up our time to help you for free.

Just appeal on day 26 and stop thinking about throwing your family's hard earned, at a scam.

What concerns me is having my perfect credit record ruined by something like this. I'm new to this and if your saying that these people have as little power as the nigerian scam to actually affect my credit record and future ability to get credit then great.

Making a simple two stage appeal to a parking scammer cannot affect your credit rating, even if you lose both.

There seems to be a myth that you can just be given a CCJ. It just doesn't happen like that except in daytime TV land. You would have to go to court (or ignore real court papers) and lose, and fail to pay, and have an order to pay raised against you by the court, and fail to pay that, and get a CCJ, and fail to pay that inside a month before it would touch your credit score.

Court can't happen until you lose at PoPLA, and last year we had a 99% win rate at court with people who followed the advice here.

The win rate is 50% at PoPLA, and many appeals are done badly because they didn't come here first. In any case, the decision is not binding on the motorist and there is no requirement to pay anyone anything.
