  • Afternoon all. Stuck to my guns and made the most of the continuation of nice weather by tidying the front garden and digging it over (as best I could!) All ready now for some summer bedding - ha ha always the optimist!! After lunch I scrubbed the moss ridden path which leads from the patio (cleaned yesterday) to the back garage door. I don't know where this sudden burst of energy came from but I am now cream crackered!

    Take care all xx

  • Good afternoon everyone,

There. Seem to be a few of us who have mislaid our mojo. Maybe because the sun is out it highlights all the extra things that need cleaning, sorting etc :( and as LW said it seems to be one step forward to two steps back:(

One success today, the cs came & collected the table & 4 chairs as promised - last time they were a couple of days late. So a bit more floor space garnered:T

My mojo is very intermittent - starting & not finishing various tasks - so cannot cross anything off my To Do list :o It doesn’t help that DSis phoned to let me know her DS still hasn’t sorted out his finances  He is 27 for pete’s sake & has had previous loans from his lovely auntie (me) :rotfl: which he has paid back monthly but still.... He is unaware that he had an inheritance from his Nan (my DM :A) but DSis & I agreed not to give it to him until he was less profligate :rotfl: So this time around I have ‘loaned’ him his own money :rotfl:. Fortunately I phone bank so it is all sorted :):(:)

Finishing a mug of coffee & then will try to finish off the four (yes you read right - four :o ) tasks already started :o

(Do have 2 parcels to post & a full bag of bits for cs which is on the To Do list for tomorrow!)

Anyway, onwards & upwards. Hugs to Holly especially & anyone else who needs one :)

Hi chums quick peek in tonight as DGD Katie is in labour so I my shortly become a Gt.Grandma. She went in to hospital on Saturday and had started lbour but for somereason it stopped at 3cms so at 1.30 this morning they decided to break her waters , but the little one is taking her own sweet time :) a bit cussed ( much like her Mum )but fingers crossed it will be any thime now .every thime the phone goes I jump to it :)
Eldest DD had a job interview today so hopefully it will come to some thing She said the money is slightly less, but she's not too bothered as she won't be tied to school dates for her holidays.Plus she can start in June after she has had her L.A. trip. and it won't affect her redundancy payment either.
Right I must grab something to eat as I shall be off to the hospital shortly fingers crossed xxx
  • Back again,

JackieO, keeping fingers, toes etc crossed that DGD gives birth soon & that you can cuddle your great grand daughter to your heart’s content :)

Never lucky enough to have children but I am (because my DH was a late baby with older siblings) a great great auntie-in-law :D & I am under 60 :o Am also an auntie on my side of the family:)

Managed to complete 3 out of the 4 tasks I had started :j

Tonight while I am watching TV I will start & finish another task. Some of my mojo has put in an appearance :j:rotfl:

    See you tomorrow :)

Hope all goes well. :) I'm excited for you.

Grump managed to get a 'well man' check at the doctors this afternoon. Fighting fit! How did he manage that? He's always ill!

Talking about Grump, he's back to work on Monday. He gave himself a 2 week break. First week to go away and second week to prepare his accounts for the tax man.

    Sleep well all.

Hello chums best thing ever baby Erin weighed in at 9lb 7ozs and she is gorgeous .DGD Katie was eventually given an emergency caesarean as she was so exhausted and wasn't dilating enough for her birth.Katie is very tired but also her and her OH Tom are delighted with their new little girl and my DD is a Grandma and is so happy she's bawling her eyes out :):):) (she does get quite emotional at times :):):) I just can't stop grinning after all the sad, bad stuff that started this year off its a fantastic thing thats cheered us all up

Going to raise a glass to the new little twig on my family tree :):):)

I had to share it with all of my great 'virtual ' friends on here
    Cheers everyone
