Good morning all.
I have given myself a good talking to as I have been feeling very low. Sometimes I just have to remind myself that it is down to me to enjoy today instead of fretting about the future. Anyway out to U3A history group this morning and voluntary job this afternoon. I did go with a friend to see Finding our Feet at the cinema, great film both funny and poignant and superb actin particularly Timothy Spall0 -
Morning all
I HATE these silly clock changes. makes me out of sorts for days.Grrr!
Well Bruisemare has done it again. Rubbing on stable door has bent hinge ( and its a substantial one) and pinged the clip off the door frame, so I guess I know what I'll be doing today.
Got to go get bedding and feed sometime. DS has finished work for the Easter break so he wants to come with me to go to the bank, Suits me as shavings bales are heavy so he can help out.
Hugs and Spoons to those in need

Morning all
Thanks for the thread nmlc, hugs to all those in need.
I've not slept well again and then CHS forgot to cancel his alarms at 5am and 7:40, I wanted to murder him.
He's now walking to Tesco as I suggested we stop there yesterday and he refused, now he's decided he can't live without doing the euromillions for tomorrow.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
I'm still not getting to sleep very well because of worrying about DD. She has been hoping to get pregnant but was told on Friday she has PCOS. She's now waiting for a appointment at Guy's to see if they can help. As you can imagine she's feeling very down, not helped by the fact that SiL was away this weekend. I'm trying to stay positive for her and will see her tomorrow when we go to pick up the pup because they are going to Japan for a couple of weeks.0

This is the view from my bedroom window and what kept me from getting going this morning. That band of mist across the sea is mesmerising. Just had to share it.
What a beautiful view Gers. I'd love to see the sea from my window/s.
Diva is having her morning nap and Grump has taken the hounds to the garage, he's got a rattle on the front end. He was considering changing the motor (again) last week but sense has prevailed and ive put forward a plan which he is still thinking about. He is going to pop into the surgery on the way to the garage.... RESULT!
Still wading through the laundry. The vacuuming and steam cleaning will have to wait till Diva has gone home. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Yes, fifteen minutes later the mist became much thicker and dense, hid Jura and the sea completely. An hour later it was all clear and bright.TravellingAbuela wrote: »You are so lucky GERS. Is the little bit of land fenced off the new garden you have planned?
Yes, that'll be the new raised beds garden with a special place to sit out and watch the sun set on a dry summer evening. Still work in progress as it needs sprayed once more, turned / levelled and tons of bark put down before the beds get installed. What a beautiful view Gers. I'd love to see the sea from my window/s.
It's both beautiful and very distracting - sometimes I just want to sit and look at it.
Work was fine, had to put my 'in charge' foot down early on and then everything was sorted. The students do like to put things off. One was late to class because he went swimming first. :rotfl:
My lemon drizzle cake from yesterday wasn't very lemony. I've got a new one in the oven, I've added in lemon extract this time though I really think it needs lemon juice in the mixutre and not just in the drizzle. I'm enjoying the tasting!
I've paid my council tax, done a reference for a friend, sorted out an online access for work and chased the starlings. Tea is required.0 -

Thanks - I used this one from BBC.
I'll see how the lemon extract helped but will probably try a different recipe next time.
Sorry to read about others who are struggling and hope that things improve soon for everyone.0 -
Hello
I've had another sleepless night, no matter what I do I can't seem to drop off. Too many things going on in my brain but nothing really to worry about. I think I'm turning into my late MiL, she always worried about not having anything to worry about . Perhaps it comes with getting older.
Anyway I haven't been idle this morning. I have culled a few items for the CS, cleaned my leather suite, wiped down the kitchen worktops and whilst emptying the DW, stabbed myself with a fork. That woke me up !
This afternoon I am going to do a bit more general pottering and crack on with my "to do" list. I haven't got very far with it yet, just the room names eg bathroom, bedroom 1, etc followed by the word " colour " :rotfl:. So I have to sit down with some colour swatches and concentrate on the job in hand !
It's no good asking Mr Fix It as he always says " that's nice " or " I don't really mind ". He also has no sense of taste :rotfl:.
Gers what a lovely view !
Mehefin your horse is keeping you on your toes and out of mischief
Poppy I hope you find your mojo soon. It seems we are are all subject to that at one time or another.
I can hear the kettle boiling, so I shall have another coffee to get me moving again.
Hope everyone is having a good day. Take care, love and hugs to all.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Well I've bookmarked the jigsaw site that Nelski posted a link for yesterday, but whether I'll ever get time/chance to look at it is another thing entirely.
I seem to have an ever-growing list of tasks requiring my attention; and every time I manage to complete one, another two spring up to take it's place.
Ignore me - just feeling more than a little overwhelmed,is all.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
