How to keep bank login details safe?

Options
Hi,

I have multiple bank accounts - and therefore multiple login details. I was wondering how you guys remember your details and keep them safe?

I don't like writting mine down on scraps of paper for obvious reasons.

Thanks

Use a password manager and you just need to remember one password. Just make that password strong. Things like the first letter of each word in the lyrics to a verse in a favourite song or poem, or book or speech. Lots of ways.
  • Yes - I was thinking a password manager is the best way! I just wanted to hear what everyone else does.

So don't expect any tips from me. :D

...and round and round the same question we go every few months
    Google password managers.
There is even a Wikipedia page on them
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Password_manager
plus another page listing the best known
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_password_managers

    I use Keepass
I expect, like asking which car to buy, you will get umpteen conflicting replies each recommending a different one.

If using Word or Excel, make sure you have it encrypted, preferably on removable media.
Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.

Spreadsheet passwords arent worth the paper they arent printed on.

Splash out and get a password manager because its far easier to unlock a spreadsheet.
