Hi All
Looking for a wee bit advice.....received a letter from my bulk LPG supplier to say price increase of 8.5ppl. Letter arrived Friday and increase affects all deliveries from Monday. Is this legal? Do they not have to give me more notice than that? They certainly didn't inform me of the price increase when I ordered my delivery earlier in the week! Any advice?
Living in Fife, Scotland paying 33.9ppl before rise.
Cheers

What do the T&C's say about price increases? Are you still under contract? could you change supplier?0

Not under contract any more so could switch - just a pain having to ring around them all to get prices! Will need to check T&Cs. Was just a bit shocked at the fact that the letter arrived Friday & price hike is in effect from today.0

I popped into my local Shell petrol station today to fill up.
Price had increased from last week without any warning.

Shreddies had gone up in Tesco last week. No warning whatsoever. Not sure if that's legal. Anything I can do about it?Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Sadly, with Petrol and Shreddies (and maybe other products) market forces dictate that you can go to other retailers to buy your goods.
Sadly, with LPG, this isn't possible! :mad:0 -

Not that it helps the OP much ... but this is one argument as to why oil is better than LPG in this respect. Something to bear in mind for anyone who doesn't have mains gas and is considering which type of fuel to install.0
