A few times over the last month whn ive been on the internet, using either my 3 allowance or home wifi, there been a pop up on my phone which i havent been able to get rid of - not advertising from the sites I am on which is usually just newpapers, but casino pop up, amazon youve won a prize etc. Today i was on the site of my local newspaper and got a pop up for a gaming site, the name of the site was at the top of my browser, i hadnt clicked on it,
I switched my phone off. When i switched it back on there was a text saying thank you for subscribing to 'something' games (cant remember the name ) at 4.40 a week!!
I contacted three when i got home and sure emough i had been charged that amount. The operator said to text the number given with STOP which i have done. He has credoted the 4.40 but it seems the only way i can stop this is to turn off data!
I think i may just change my phone and number byt this would be a major pain.
Any advice welcome

Seriously?

Clear your cache & cookies and install an antivirus app and clean your phone.

Is it an Android phone? Personally, I'd root it and install an ad-blocker.
