Did you not consider changing your matured Tessa into a Toisa? That way it would remain tax free.

I never considered the Tessa Only Isa no. What is the difference between a TOISA & MINI Cash ISA ?
  • You cannot add to your TOISA ever

That would be no good to me as I am adding money regular to build it up.

But you could have had a TOISA and an ISA. Switching the capital to a TOISA would not have used up any of your yearly ISA allowance which could then be used to set up a regular saving.

Anyway it's too late now so I wouldn't worry about it.

I get 6% Fixed on my Northern Rock TOISA

I transferred it from Kent Reliance to Northern rock at the begining of Sept 04.

The only thing I regret is not transferring my ISA's from Intelligent Finance and Furness. Could have locked those in too for 6% for 4 years !

The current rate at Northern Rock is 5.55%, maybe if rates rise in Nov they may up the rate a little.
  • Thats a good rate Deemy! ;D
