@Redx - sadly you are correct, they will chase till they get bored!
As I said above then, ignore all contact from DRP and wait to hear from Highview direct. I imagine they will contact if DRP have no luck, or will they go straight to headed solicitor letters?
Might suggest they contact highview suggesting that they are attempting to resolve the situation. Probably best not to add "id rather deal with the organ grinder not the monkey"
DRP offer a no win no fee deal so it's no cost to the PPC.
So, the PPC's look at it this way .....
"Why be foolish chasing motorists which costs money,
when there is a ready made bunch of fools doing it for free"
Just let DRP waste their own time and money in whatever
disguise they use, no skin off your nose and neither

I don't think anything like this is going to happen - it certainly won't at the serious end of the spectrum. Your friends can sleep easy.or will they go straight to headed solicitor letters? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

the simple answer is you and your friends IGNORE them, UNLESS
1) a formal LBC arrives in the post from Highview of their solicitors that follows the new PaP rules of oct 2017
and/or
2) an MCOL from Northampton CCBC arrives in the post
until then there is nothing to say or to do, certainly not for us0 -
@ beamerguy - I had no idea they worked under that arrangement, seems a bit high risk. But then I guess its under the same premise of scaring people in to paying and it probably works a lot!
@ Umkomaas - My thoughts (and hopes) too
@ Redx - Will be advising to ignore them! If an LBC comes through will come back for help! Would it be Northampton as thats where they're based, nothing to do with our locality?
Thanks all for the help!
Thank you all for your help! Hopefully wont be back soon!! ;-)0 -
the chosen court would be the county court local to the apellant/defendant
if these people live in Northampton then it will come from the CCBC in Northampton and presumably the chosen court will be the County Court in Northampton
if they live in Newcastle for example, it will be the county court in Newcastle even though the MCOL has come from the Northampton CCBC (which is NOT a court, its an office)
etc
so wherever the nearest county court is to the pcn recipients address0
