Well done on your progress, Penny.

I have noticed yoga is one of your goals, how have you been finding it?

I am struggling to find the time to fit it in in all honestly, or a time when the house is quiet and no one is around to disturb me.But when I do find time I love how chilled it makes me feel.

Just catching up with you Penny. Beamish sound very disorganised - it's not as if they didn't know it was half term and they'd be busy! At least you'll be prepared next time you go.

All sounding very organised for June - I need to get my act together. Like you I had a very expensive May but June should be better.
Sorry to hear about Beamish :(. Perhaps an email to the management might spark some extra staff being employed?

Have to say the only time I’ve ever experienced it like that is the fish and chips in the height of summer. They really are awesome though.

Did you see sweets being made in the back of the sweet shop? So clever Xx

Beamish was disorganised which was such a shame when it could be a really amazing place.

PLMBL - we got to the sweet shop at 3pm and was told they had stopped demonstrations for the day, which was a shame as the place didn't shut until 5pm and there was loads of people wanting to watch it.Hopefully we will see it next time we go as we now know to go to that early.

    Good morning.

Kids back at school today but i'm not back until tomorrow :D, so a lovely peaceful day.
Got up and dressed with the kids, so I was out of the house by 9am and have been to the Post office with ebay parcels and chemist to pick up my prescription, so far its been a NSD but I do need to pay DD tutor but that's by cheque and won't officially clear for a few days so maybe I can still count today as a NSD.

Yesterday I had a delivery from Ocad0 which was £85, did receive some freebies as they offered me a household pack free which worked out better value than £10 off and some of the items or similar I was ordering anyway,
I got 9 pack of toilet roll.
    listerine mouthwash.
    colgate toothpaste.
    Neutrogena handcream
    Dove doederent
    Radox shower gel.
    Sanex shower gel
    Kitchen towels
    johnsons face wipes.
So really pleased and have put the toiletries away for when we go on holday, except for the radoxshower gel which I used tofill up the handwash, which saved me buying it.

Ds yesterday had a sports thing which was a 60mile round trip for him to be there for 2 hrs:mad:,anyway it was free for him and I took a picnic and a book and just sat quietly reading under a tree, was really good and didn't go into the caf! that was there or wander into the little town as I knew this would result in a spend.

Small change to meal plan for tonight we are having chicken thighs instead of sausage, simple because the freezer is jam packed and I couldn't find them.
Few bits sold on ebay over the weekend need to do some adding up and see what I've made after fees.

  • Morning.

Back to work today, not looking forward to it and slept really badly last night, lots going on regarding staff issues again and although i'm not personally involved it is difficult to see others being treated unfairly by those above.

Money is ticking along ok, although DH wages have gone in late and there is no sign of rent which is unsettling considering it is only their 2nd month in the property.

    To do list -

    Post ebay/royal mail survey parcels.
list item on ebay for MIL.
Print off consent for DD school trip.

Great sales well done, I hope your day back at work was OK and issues between staff get resolved.

How annoying about the rent, doesn't bode well especially in the short space of time they've been there!

  • Morning.

Rent issue sorted and it's been paid and it was a genuine mistake, so fingers crossed it was a one off.

    Yesterday was a NSD.

Work was ok, just focussed on the kids not the drama, i'm getting to old for grown ups behaving like 13 year olds.

Not much to report really, finances are ticking along, Ds has started his exams and is coping ok.
DH is flat out at work and we are not seeing him much, but I've told him we are going to the cinema this weekend at some point to see the new Jurassic World film, no doubt he will sleep through it but at least we will be together as a family.
Mongolian beef is in the slow cooker, noticed 2 dodgy bananas in the fruit bowl so will make some banana and walnut muffins this evening.

  • Morning.

Not much to update really as everything is just plodding along.
Yesterday was another NSD but today will be a spend day as DS needs his hair cutting £10. £4 DD has left bank account and have had a couple of ebay sales. DD has come home with a letter for 2 more text books she needs for GCSEs, so will order those this weekend, never a week goes by without school wanting money for something:mad:.

Mongolian beef was a big hit last night, I will certainly make that one again.

Didn't manage to make banana muffins so that is still to do and have a glut of courgettes to use I might make a big veggie lasagne tomorrow and freeze it.
