ID Mobile trying to charge me a months notice.
Hi, after two very long years with ID mobile my contract ends on the 26th, so I called them for a PAC code to move my number to another network. The woman told me I have to give 30 days notice and pay another month, is this standard practice? As I don't remember any other network trying to charge me this after my contract ended. And do I have any options for not paying them, and telling them to jog on? Thanks.

Every mobile network requires you to give notice. The standard is 30 days. This is because your contract doesn't end, you just reach the end of your minimum term. After which it becomes a rolling contract unless either side terminates it.0

Every network and MVNO has a 30 day notice period.
Also, your contract did not end, you simply reached the end of your minimum term.====0 -
Thanks for the info.0

Having said all that if you use your PAC a few days after receiving it, they may well not charge you beyond that point but strictly speaking they would be allowed.0

I'm certain any Dixons Carphone company will get every last penny out of you!0

Hi Bua, we understand that it can be frustrating having to pay an early termination fee, however, when your contract ended you would have been moved to a 1-month rolling contract.
We do require 30-days notice for disconnection in all cases, as is the case with most networks.

I expect you could give notice 30 days before the end of the contract so there would be no additional charge. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

I've got two months left on my contract and just can't bare it anymore! Going to leave early, signal is terrible, service is just as bad. Switching to Virgin. ASAP!0
