I see, so there probably is no package which will be delivered tomorrow this is something the seller has instigated to fool me.
I know my postman, he knows to leave parcels under the porch, there is a notice on the door which says leave under porch and there was no card so it will not surprise me if nothing turns up tomorrow.
I am surprised Royal Mail will allow any Tom D**k or Harry to do this.
To deliver a package to the original address?0 -
Ok, well if it does not turn up tomorrow the seller will get a negative rather then neutral from me for pulling that trick without letting me know they were trying it on.0

It's better for the seller to just trigger the redelivery by putting their own email address in, and then you don't even know what they did.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I'm sorry you see it as trying it on, it is a recommended way of getting a buyers goods to them if they haven't had a card through the door. If a seller calls eBay and gets someone sensible in Dublin who understands the system, they will even recommend it as a positive action to help the buyer.
Goodness knows why a seller needs a non positive for trying to get An item to the buyer, but as a seller I'm not surprised about anything now.
The only thing that doesn't make sense here is the size of the item. £3.50 really implies a large letter rather than a parcel, so small enough for a letter box. To me that suggests item is lost and not just being held, I therefore suspect that the seller will be needing to refund here formloss regardless of them trying to assist the buyer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I agree they are trying to do the right thing but they should use their own email address not mine as suggested above.
I now have a genuine email from Royal Mail telling me a parcel they have will be delivered so I might:
- Wait in for the parcel which does not exist
- Try and rearrange delivery of the non existent parcel because I am out
- Get annoyed with Royal Mail for not keeping their promise.

I suggest you email a link to this thread to the seller.

You don't understand what I am trying to say.
Seller has tried to re arrange a delivery for you, he has used your email address so that YOU know that he has tried and that if RM have the item it will be delivered on XX day. To me this is a good thing, but perhaps in future we should warn people on this board to stop trying to keep buyer informed and instead to use their own email address and pretend to be the buyer (some sellers do this already) and keep the buyer completely in the dark. I am surprised you would prefer seller to not tell you that a re delivery is going to be attempted, but as I said nothing at all surprises me about buyers any more.
If this does not turn up and you already have a case open then no harm has been done has does not affect the case at all, without proof of delivery the seller cannot win the dispute, nor does the redelivery attempt prolong the time scale at all. I think you are fussing about nothing, just wait the INR out and get your refund.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes I do understand and also that the seller is doing this for all the right reasons.
I have been told a re delivery is to attempted but its quite likely there is nothing there to re delivered.
Just to be clear its the email from Royal Mail I have not anything from the seller.
The seller should have used there own email or notified me of what they were doing and that it might or might not work. 0
