To take this seriously for a minute though, political and social "odds" are very different to tossing a coin, and that is the reason many didn`t see it coming (Twice!) What odds were you offered by bookies before the events though? Would be interesting to see what they were.....0 -
Another option is the Guided Bus route, high speed bus every 15 minutes or so on old railway line. St Ives has a Park & Ride, a lot of new development in Longstanton where there is another Park & Ride, and then the villages closer to Cambridge,Histon, Oakington etc. The Science Park is also on the line.
The key factor is whereabouts in Cambridge you work.
Agree with St.ives being a good bet...good links via guided bus and once the A14 is finished should be big improvement.
Will be some very nice houses going up on Houghton Grange when they pull there finger out.0 -
I'm selling the South East and have definately seen a big cooling off in the market. We found a place and wanted to offer, but we've had no offers on our sale. We've dropped the price 10% this week, we've had 1 new enquiry so far. If I have to drop it another 10% I'll be selling for less than I paid for it in 2014. I've given up looking for a new home now as I've lost hope I can actually sell my property this year. I can't even entertain let-to-buy because the stamp duty wipes out too much of my deposit. It's a great time to be a first time buyer right now, you could wait it out for prices to drop or haggle desperate sellers down.
Money savers everywhere will be celebrating this news! :T0 -
