Ukrainian International Airlines

I travelled with Ukrainian International (UIA) in October to Kiev from London Gatwick. The flight was delayed by 8 hours and I filled in a form to claim under the EU rules about flight delays Euro 400.
The airline rejected the claims stated exceptional circumstances (but provided no details at all of what they were)
We contacted the CAA and the took up the matter for us, but got nowhere they said in writing that UIA CANNOT claim exceptional circumstances and they should pay us. If they did not we should put in a County Court Claim and they kindly directed me to Money Claims Online.
I put in a claim, which UIA did not respond to - Great I thought.
We got Judgement and a CCJ
I sent the baliffs around to their UK office and the response back was - no assets that could be realised.
Off course this is rubbish as the Airline has Millions of Dollars of planes - though I guess they are registered in Ukraine.
How to proceed next? It is clear they are hiding behind the rules and using their non UK / EU base to avoid paying.
I don't like their approach to this but also I dont want to throw good money after bad.
Thoughts everyone?

I suspect few airlines own their planes but lease them.1 -

The "tools of the trade" exemption only applies to sole traders.gettingtheresometime wrote: »Also I 'think' that any assets that are used in the course of their work can't be seized
As far as limited companies are concerned, any assets owned by the company can be seized.
But, as pmduk stated, the majority of airlines now lease aircraft rather than owing them outright.0 -

I don't think that's the case actually. Many airlines have a combination of owned and leased planes, though.
The national flag carriers will tend to own most of their planes rather than lease them.
They rarely have their planes on display at their head offices though so a bailiff is unlikely to be able to seize one from there.0 -

What was the address of the UK office?
It wasn't
was it?AVIAREPS UK LTD. 7th Floor, The Mille 1000 Great West Road Brentford Middlesex TW8 9DW United Kingdom
If it was then that's a third party marketing company, not an office of Ukrainian Airlines.0 -
