2nd son is on half term, and has strict instructions to find himself a p/t job. Apparently full time college these days is 3 days a week!!!

    Claire :o

I know  my son's full time course is 2.5 days a week. I asked what part time is? Once a term? Kids today don't know they're born... when I was a kid...:rotfl:

I don't know what I'm going to do today. I started a new business last week because I was bored so I'll probably work on that for the best part of the day. Other than that I plan to stay in, blanket on my knees (apart from a trip to the post office... honest sar).

Morning all, well today it seems like I'm the only person in the country who wants a quiet easy Monday morning, everyone else seems to have felt the need to phone me up and complain about things which aren't my fault but it's my department that's always in the firing line, and I'm the one who usually answers the phone. Hmmph.

Hope everyone else is having a better day.. I'm off to turn the ringer off

Is anyone else having one of 'those' Monday mornings? But I have a question... why are 'those' days always on a Monday??

Tell me about it - my DS2's uni course is all day Mon & Tues, 1/2 day Weds! Give him his due, he has got himself a job in the library, which after his first week, he sees as a way to get paid for sitting down & writing essays!

He's just texted to say he definitely has to have the full dyslexia assessment & then send the report to his LEA to get their financial support for a laptop & any software needed.
Pity it didn't get picked up in primary or high school...but hey, he did really well without being acknowledged as dyslexic, all his hard work has paid off :D

  • I've got a driving lesson today, and I've had a migraine since yesterday, so should be fun :o I can't cancel, as she still charges. I hate learning to drive, really I do. I get so nervous, and every minute feels like an hour. I know it'll be worth it when I pass my test, but it seems to be taking forever!

I've been trying to avoid thinking about xmas. It's scary how fast this year has flown by

My son is also having a dyslexia assessment soon, having struggled through most of his school life! He even saw an educational psychologist whilst in junior school and they said he had problems with short term memory but nothing they could do. He has help from the special needs dept of his schools all the way through, so I'm going to mega cross if it turns out he is dyslexic!!

See above  Not to mention the fact it's the day before payday and I'm down to raiding the change jar.
