Tv licence refund for over 75 year old

Hi. My mother has been paying her full tv licence. She did not know she could have a free licence after she was 75 years old. Thats 5 years she has paid now.
Can she apply for a refund?

Nobody's used the TV Licence help guide .

In this kind of situation, TVL certainly accept refund requests. She may not get the full five years back, but with something so relatively easy to prove it's definitely worth going through the refund process.0
