giff gaff iphone question

I am about to buy a second hand iphone 6. In the past I have paid more to buy unlocked handsets but I want to save a few pennies.
I use Giff Gaff which piggy backs the O2 network, if I purchase a iphone that is locked to O2 will I have any issues?

    The phone will work perfectly fine, same happened to me, I went from O2 to GiffGaff with same phone with no problems.
