Virgin Trains - *bus* from Preston to Glasgow?

Have just tried booking a Virgin Trains West Coast trip from Brum to Glasgow on April 1st and it's showing Preston to Glasgow by *bus*.
Anyone know why? Is it an April Fool's joke?
I have other train options (via Edinburgh, for example), but they are about £35 more expensive.

Well, that really depends on the search terms you use. I used "network rail easter disruption" and this was the first result.
