I would not tip them off...I think you are taking the wrong tack.

You should reply and ask for all their evidence/photos and not mention the location issue.

  • I asked for evidence/photos in the previous letter I sent and they have provided it with the latest letter they sent.
The statement I provided above is from a letter outlining what they have provided etc.

OK then maybe reply and say that their evidence fails to support their assertions and you will see them in court.

What you want is for them to go wrong, state the wrong location in the actual claim!

  • Thank you for all your help.

When you say "state the wrong location in the actual claim!", are you referring to if/when this does go to court? Apologies, I've never been in a legal situation and aren't au fait with the terminology.

Yes, what you want is for them to serve a court claim with the wrong location on it, giving you a defence point to add to all the usual ones that we know and love, and win with!

Believe it or not you want the claim, because it will then be over. No risk, no CCJ, come back if so!

  • Excellent - Would you advise a counter-claim, should it reach this far?

You could try one, only costs £25 up front, but you have to word it well.

Read Henry Hippo's thread on pepipoo, he won a counter claim last month (which I helped write).

  • Just a heads up.
Received a letter from them saying they "are disappointed we couldn't reach an amicable agreement" - Sending threatening letters demanding £500 for parking in my own work's carpark, in my own work's parking spaces - Very amicable negotiating skills there!
They are now initiating court proceedings... here we go!

Not as disappointed as you having a scammer like VCS
    in your car park.

No doubt the BWLegal mob will contact you but they must
do it correctly as per the new procedure and giving you
    30 to respond.

I trust you have read this thread

Always nice to understand the minds of these scammers
and how they walk a tight rope which they often fall off
  • Many thanks, beamerguy - I'll be scouring that thread thoroughly.
