Give me your address and i can pop by your way, do 80 in a 30, drive right at you & then just as i'm about to hit you & you fill your pants because you think this is it, i swerve at the last minute & narrowly miss you
but hey, i wont have hit you, i'll have only nearly hit you.
AND i'd actually be insured too.
No problem
EDIT: for anyone putting 2 + 2 together and getting 97, i never said that this is what the guy did. I'm just going with Car 54's point that so long as nobody is hurt then there's never a problem.
so why are you fraudulently using the askmid site? it clearly states and has a disclaimer that you're checking your own car
"I am entitled to the insurance information about the vehicle detailed above for one or more of the following reasons: It is either registered/ owned/ insured by me or my employer; I am permitted to drive it; I am an Insurance Broker or agent and acting on behalf of my client.
I understand it is an offence to wrongfully obtain information of this nature without any of the above reasonable causes. If I fail to provide true reasons for acquiring this information I may be committing an offence of unlawfully obtaining data contrary to section 55 of the Data Protection Act 1998. I declare that the information provided will not be used for any purposes unrelated to this enquiry"

I have emailed the police, saying car not insured, they did not ask me any questions.
You need to get yourself out with whatshisname on the community speed watch.0 -

I bet just 24 hours with you, especially as we're on a motoring forum & i'll assume you drive, will show that you don't follow the letter of the law as well as you seem to like to suggest.
Why did i use it? Because i can. Is that good enough?
Don't like me using it because 'it's bad'? Report me then
Oh and how rude of me, i didn't answer your question at the end. Yeah i love breaking the law, it gives me a buzz. Is that the answer you were looking for?0 -

So what have you done about said driver? Except start a thread he’ll probably never see.0 -

From the poster who checked details he (technically) wasn't allowed to regarding someone else' business in order to support his moral outburst.
The irony is strong in this one!0 -

Pulled the card from my dashcam to get the plate & did a check and it came back as "not insured today".
Translated into:
The car was going to change lane in front of me, that's my bit of road so as I have a dashcam, i sped up to make the gap smaller but he still insisted on trying to squeeze in. How dare they to move into my space? The cheek of it.0 -
