The Now TV smart box can only pause for 30 minutes.
There are only 13 Sky Entertainment channels on Now TV plus 9 sports and 6 Kids depending on subscriptions. So does Now TV cover the channels she wants?
The only way to view and record some of the downloaded channels is Youview from BT TV via BT Infinity, Plusnet or EE TV via their fibre BB or Sky via a dish apart from VM, all subscription. Sky who have the biggest choice of channels all the others only have some of Sky channels.
You need to see which provider offers the channels she wishes to record.0 -
Now TV content can't be recorded, but there's no real need. If you are half way through a programme, just press pause or stop, and when you go back to it, it will resume where you left off. It also has a 'continue watching' function so you can follow a series - just use 'add to my TV'. The box sets can be watched at your leisure. The catch up function programmes are often limited to 29 days though. You only need a TV recorder for programmes that aren't available on a catch up service - most BBC, ITV, C4, and C5 programmes can be watched through them anyway. Now TV is monthly subscription and dirt cheap compared to proper Sky.0
