Taking the politics out and looking at the technical details only, is the photo on the bottom right a real or photoshopped photo from the one on the left? Perhaps someone with the skills on this technical forum would be able to judge better than in another forum.
Personally I really don't know, but Newsnight insists the Photograph with the Russian hat is real.

Since both pictures are without a shadow of a doubt based on the same photograph, at least one of them is Photoshopped. I know which one I would go for.0

The brightness level is so low on the right hand image that you simply can't see the detail in it, ie, the brim of the cap.0

If you take the bottom left photo and adjust brightness and contrast, you will quickly see how easy it is to make it look like the bottom right picture.0

The image on the right has lost a lot of definition in the shadow areas. The outline of the hats looks the same, so my view is that they are both from an identical image. Perhaps it's just that the method of display of the RHS one makes the hat look different.
It could be that the hat area has been intentionally blurred or maybe it's just the result of the blues in the image being almost eliminated - compare the shirt collars. Removing all the blue could account for loss of definition of the front part of the hat.
Whether this amounts to intentional modification or just the result of the way it's been displayed is impossible to determine.
Bear in mind that the RHS one is probably a photo of the screen of a TV (or PC) and that introduces so many other variables.
Actually I'm not convinced that it makes it look like a Russian hat - wrong shape round the top and nowhere near thick enough. But then I'm no Russian hat expert.0 -
Yes, they are definitely derived from the same original, and I would say that the left-hand one is relatively unmolested, and in the right-hand one Corbyn has been done-up like a kipper (technical term).
edit: Actually looking at it again and tweaking the brightness of the right-hand image, I am inclined to agree with the above - they are the same photo, and the effect is due to colour, brightness and contrast manipulation rather than photoshopping, as such. The only potential deliberate manipulation I think I can see is that the hat is stretched vertically, although this could be due to low brightness introducing apparent shadows that aren't really there.
The RH image is about 20% smaller overall than the LH, but adjusting for that, the hat appears to be 10% taller in the RH.0 -

More like a red herring.0 -

The original is him in a Lenin cap. It does not get much more Russian than that.
I wonder if he wore it on his way to be on Russia today, to his meetings with Hungarian spies, and on his trips with Diane Abbott to the Soviet Union0 -
Who cares if it has or not? This man has enough dirt in his past with his links to the IRA to make little difference if something like this is photoshopped or not. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I'm sure it is purely accidental, also I believe it's purely accidental that they included Moscow as the background.:D0
