  • Monday Lunch: beef sandwiches [leftover from roast yesterday]
    Tea: Cottage pie - with carrots in a layer in it and a bit of cheese scattered on top
    Tuesday Lunch: sardine pâté on toast
    Tea : Lamb chops, Potato cake, Root vegs, mint sauce and gravy
    Wednesday L: Toasted cheese etc sarnies
    T: Spag bol
    Thursday L: Toast and Marmite
    T: Cauliflower cheese [poss bacon too]
    Friday L: Fridge soup [whatever's in 'fridge and needs to be used up goes into soup!] and melba toast [made on top of wood fired stove - free :D ]
    T: Tomato and cheese topped coley fillets, mashed potatoes, peas
    Saturday L: Sandwiches of choice
    T Rissotto of whatever I have that needs using up/mushroom [from the garden - free :D ]
    Sunday L: Roast beef, roast root veg, creamed potatoes, carrots/any other veg that were on offer
    T: Sandwiches around the television!
    If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

    Hi all, few days till payday so meal plan is a scrabble for food in the freezer :o

    Sun was sole fillets.
    Mon Chicken casserole
    Tue Turkey curry from freezer
    Wed Chilli from freezer
    Thur Chicken casserole (Monday's frozen and defrosted)
    Fri Sausage casserole
    Sat Chicken thighs with something??
    Sun Chilli from freezer

    Hi everyone

    Well i have just done a check of the freezers/fridge and cupboards and have worked out 4 weeks of menus - and have some more stuff left - so will make up a couple more menus in a moment....
    Everything in the freezer is stuff i recently made and froze in portions... I want to try and use it all up ready for doing a winter "re-stock".. so here is hoping for a month of no supermarkets....apart from a bit of milk:T

    Hubbies packed lunches:-

    Hm soups (with hm bread):-
    chicken n sweetcorn,
    cream of broccoli and lentil,
    vegetable+bean
    spicy pork n bean goulash
    or hm bread with cheese n onion, corned beef n mustard etc

    my lunches....
    crispbreads with low fat cream cheese, avocado low fat pate etc
    hm soups
    or re-heated leftovers ;)

    dinners for this week
    1. roast chicken, Hm stuffing, potatoes for hubby and lots of veggies , gravy
    2. Hm sausages -casseroled, yorkshires, veg and onion gravy
    3. fish with parsley sauce mashed potato and swede + veg
    4. liver casserole, mash an veg
    5. ham, cheese, potato and onion flans (just cooling :drool: ) with beans
    6. chilli + rice -hubby ..... salmon and veg -me
    7. pork, veg and barley casserole with cabbage and broccoli

    Hi there Whatatwit....:D

    I could do with a couple of lodgers.... i love to cook, but it's only me n hubby and im in the midst of losing weight (still eating good old proper food - just smaller portions..not giving all the yummy stuff up)-
    there is only so much we can eat... hence the extra portions in the freezer... only want to use them up so i have an excuse to lots more cooking to fill it up again :rotfl:

    M- Chicken with spicy noodles
    T- Veg lasagne (from freezer)
    W- Meatballs or chilli (whichever I take out of the freezer!)
    T- Pea risotto
    F- Brisket with spuds onions and carrots cooked round the meat.

    You can tell its end of the month. We are clearing out the freezer!
  • Tues- Baked mackerel with pesto mash
    Wed- Pasta and HM sauce of some kind
    Thur- JP with cheese, beans and side salad
    Fri- Slow cooker curry with cous cous
    Sat- Out for dinner
    Sun- Lasagne and salad
    Mon- Honey and soy chicken with rice or noodles

    hoping to stick to this this week!!!:p

    T: HM chicken balti (frozen)
    W: cod steaks, rice, veg
    T: HM bolognaise
    F: beef burgers, salad, wedges
    S: HM chicken enchiladas?
    S: chicken something

    Better late than never I guess so here goes...

    Sunday - Picnic tea (cooked meat, rolls, crisps, apple etc)
    Monday - Roast Chicken, Roast Potatoes, Carrots, Brocolli, Peas, Gravy and FAB!! yorkshires (think I have finally cracked this oven - only moved in 4 months ago) HM Chocolate Fudge Pudding & Ice-cream
    Tuesday - Sausage, HM Chips, Egg & Beans (fishfingers for littles)
    Wednesday - HM Beef & onion pie, Roast Pots & Veg (whatever we buy tomorrow)
    Thursday - Chicken Kievs, New Pots, Peas & Sweetcorn
    Friday - Pasta Cabonara & HM Garlic Bread
    Saturday - Roast Pork, Roasties, Yorkshires, Veggies & Gravy

    Will make a trifle tomorrow (not had one for ages), also make some jam tarts and biccies.

    Breakfast will be cereal, porridge or toast.

    Lunches, sandwiches, pasta & cheese, crackers etc

    Snacks - fruit or HM cake and biccies
