    Hi

We're on the last week of the month so money is only being spent if absolutely necessary so this is the weeks plan (all from cupboard or freezer so may be some odd combinations)

Sun Roast chicken, roasties, green beans, carrots and gravy. Lemon cake.
Mon Chicken/veg curry and rice. I'm veggie so our meals are similar but different some of ther time.
Tues Pasta, baked beans and melted cheese.
Wed Fish/fried egg and potato wedges and sweetcorn
Thurs Pork loin steak/veg pastie, mash, peas and gravy
Fri Pork loin steaks/ veggie fingers and home made chips
Sat Pancakes with lemon and sugar

The days may move around depending on how busy I am

    June NSD 8/15
  • Here's my effort:

Mon Cauli & Broc Cheese, baked pots
    Tues Roast Chicken etc
Wed Pastachio with lamb mince base in freezer
Thurs Chicken in Spicy Mango Sauce
    Friday Veggie curry
Sat HM pizza, slad & coleslaw
Sun family day out so who knows!

Hi, I don't suppose you could tell me how you make this please? I have all those ingredients in the fridge and it sounds like it could be rather delicious :D

its the easiest thing in the world and you can bung anything in, last time i used mozerella just because it was what i had and it was fabulous!
fry onions and some chopped up bacon (i use the cheap 'bacon pieces') slice some potatoes really thinly, i leave the skins on. take an oven proof dish and start with a layer of the bacon and onion, then a layer of potatoes, putting in some mozerella and/or a few blobs of philadephia (i use extra light) as you want. season as you go and when you get near the top just pour over some milk, so its about a quarter of the way up the dish. top with some cheese or breadcrumbs and put in the oven, covered, on a fairly low light for about an hour. cook uncovered for the last 15 or 20 mins. serve with veg or crusty bread.. very cheap and delicious and you really can use whatever you have in!

Mon - fish and HM chips
Tues - roast chicken and all the trimmings
Weds - leftover roast chicken with bubble and squeak

Lunches are generally leftovers from the evening meal or sandwiches with the usual fillings i.e. cheese and pickle, tuna etc.
We also have a batch of jacket potatoes cooked and frozen so will use some of these for lunches too!
