It's polite to provide a source when you quote from an article. This was written over ten years ago.

Make a complaint, and if it's rejected, take it to the FoS.
However, if the purchase was verified by PIN (which if they're saying it was, I wouldn't doubt that), then you will have to give a reasonable explanation as to how that happened. If you are the only one who knows your pin and there's no reasonable time when they may have seen you enter it, you're probably out of luck.0 -
Is this another one of those stories where the person claims the money was stolen from them when in fact they went to a strip club, got drunk and spent all their money?

The police detail this in there report0 -
Strip club? Not at all. We went to a concert which finished at 11. Got to a bar at 12 leave at 1. 1 hour. Uber shows time of arrival and departure..wow great support here.0

Obviously coming for advice help and support was a mistake. Sorry just wanted help. This is a genuine case. Thankfully my friend was refunded as they tried numerous failed attempts to extract further funds and the bank saw this as suspicious. With my card i have no idea if they had tried even more attempts because NW wont give any info0

The first 2 posts on the thread (that weren't from you) gave you the advice of what to do.Shakin_Steve wrote: »If your bank dig their heels in, your only recourse is a complaint to the ombudsman but, be aware, this will not be a quick resolution. You need to have exhausted the banks complaints procedure first, and that can take a while. You can make a formal complaint to NatWest and take it to the FOS if not satidfied with their response.0 -
