  • Hi all. I'm a sporadic fly-er, in that I try to join in when on holiday from work but only manage a "maintenance level" the rest of the time.

However, I am now off work (5 weeks sick leave, then maternity leave until July) and am hoping to get house completely done before Christmas so am relaxed and ready for the arrival of baby number 3 in January!

Started a little last week but didn't post, then OH was home all weekend and you wouldn't guess the house had ever been tidy! Kids off school for half term and OH off just for today so might be able to rope them in - here's hoping!

Aiming to do as much as possible and for a calm, relaxed, tidy, organised house by the end of the year!

  • Ugh, am off work today sick. It feels like I have that horrible flu-like thing that's going round.

The only thing I've done this morning is make raspberry and white chocolate cake. I cheated though, it's one of thoose bake in the box ones that had the try me free thing on it. Haven't tried it yet though.

Somehow I think I'm not actually going to do any flying today, but you never know. Atleast I can skip the deep clean challenge, as I cleaned and sorted all the kitchen cupboards and drawers last week.

I don't know who I'm trying to kid but there's no way I'll be able to fly with the kids off, I'd forgotten how time consuming they are lol add to that umpteen visits to answer the door every half an hour to various kids, is so and so in?....is so and so playing out?...... etc etc grrrrr. to give DD her due she did try and sort out some of her bedroom but kinda got sidetracked when her mate turned up. Think I should just do dailies for this week it'll be a waste of time doing the list.

Got jacket spuds in for dinner, gonna do a quick tidy of the living room, then hoover through, OH still hasn't surfaced so can't do the car battery till he does, then need to get the DW loaded but today it's really one of 'those' jobs I really don't want to do it and keep putting it off.

well, i've emerged from under the sink! one black bag of rubbish, one bag for friends doing a fund-raising car boot (i just want to get rid of stuff!). have packed a few things into a box ready for moving, but annoyingly i ahve no newspaper or bubblewrap so can't get much into the box yet. need to get dressed and nip to the newsagents and beg or buy some.

reckon i have enough cleaning stuff left until i move, easily. will be a mixture of ariel liquid (bought yonks ago for whites), value powder (bought for cleaning oven shelves, which i've used on baking trays this am), and 4 persil tablets i have left. all with soda crystals of course! found some vileda floor wipes that fit onto some mop thing i have, think they were from the £1 shop. reckon they will do to s&s the floor in between proper cleans! :D

sexymouse - keep meaning to say, hugs to you, shame about the job. it's just so soul-destroying i know.

    Hiya
Glad it's the kitchen and dining room. Hubby was fitting skirting board in the dining room and made a right mess so cleaned in their yesterday. Think he felt guilty as he emptied, tidied and cleaned the larder in the kitchen last night. Only hot spot left in their is the dreaded cutlery draw so might do that now.

    It's freezing here.

Hope the move is going well lil_me.

    Right.. brush back up bum..

Bunnies now vax'd.. have to take them back in 2 weeks for the VHD one... £24 lighter of purse!

Washing folded and waiting to be put away.

kitchen still a pit!! Actually the whole house is a pit.. I have half a binbag for charity shop though so aiming to fill it by tonight. I have some ebay parcels to package.. and no bags left.. best order some while it is in my head to do..

I have half a binbag of stuff to list of my sisters still and a stacking box from DDs 1&2 to photograph.. they can do that themselves.. it is miles easier getting them 2 to do the pics rather than find space and time to do it myself.

THEN I am sending them all to tidy the back room while I do the kitchen.. so I can keep an eye on them. Then we shall all moose up the stairs and do a spot of flinging in the girly room.

They can clean out the hopsters too!!
