    Morning

I woke early today but forced myself to stay in bed seeing as it is half term lol got up at 8 instead of 6, think I'm excited cause I got some money in the bank today AND hopefully will have a working car to bomb about in. I ordered my shopping online though just in case so that's coming between 11am & 1pm. List time:- I don't have a dining room so only the kitchen for me today :j

Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    Clean floors
Find a roll of binbags we are having a BIG FLING this week because my house is a mess!!
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
    • Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    • Update the inventory of your cupboards contents and what needs using first
    • Attack that hotspot of grot in the kitchen.. the one you look at, groan and decide to leave until next week.. but it's been there for years!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Sort through the crockery; plates, cups, bowls etc.. sling out everything that has chips and cracks.. these places harbour bacteria!!! Wipe the cupboards out before replacing what you can keep.. then find out when the next crap boot sale is and see if you can get some cheap replacements should you need them!! Feel free to get all excited and do more!!

    My list:-
    hoover through
    empty DW
    load DW
    buy gas/elec
    pay rent
    put shopping away
    fit battery in car
    do pigsback

It doesn't sound like a lot but bearing in mind I'll be messing about with the car most of the day, it's plenty to keep me going.

Morning all. Just catching up here while I finished my coffee/breakfast. Just about to write out my list of things I need to do before we set off to Wigan on the train - trouble is I couldn't manage to get DD packed last night (too many things needing drying/ironing so when I finally got to bed at 11pm gone I decided I'd rather drag the case to Wigan than try and get it packed in 10 minutes this morning :rotfl::rotfl:) so I have that to add to my list.

Need to double check train times now as I can't remember where I put the paper timetable  Should really shift my a*se though so I'll see you all either tonight, or tomorrow ;)

I have trid to join in this thread a few times and always get sidetracked by Monday afternoon:o. So I am on half term this week (yet another teacher) so am determined to join in properly.

We are off to a soft play centre for a couple of hours today but as I wouldn't be doing much flying in that time anyway cos ds would be awake (16 months) it shouldnt interfere too much. For those wiganers I am going to Pharoes in Adlington!!

    Right the list

    Morning everyone!

Well after a depressing day on Saturday (thanks to everyone who wrote to give me advice and to cheer me up :kisses3: ), I had a much nicer day on Sunday. I decided to go to Makro with OH to buy some flying tools (bicarb, and vinegar and washing powder and fabric conditioner). I managed to get the white vinegar (5litres for £3.89), the bicarb (£2.22 for 900g) and the fabric conditioner, but the washing powder wasn't on offer and worked out cheaper at the supermarket. Does anyone know if that price for bicarb is good? I wasn't sure, so bought it in case (I should have written down the price of the small supercook pots to compare but forgot).
Then, on the way home, I got a text from one of my friends to tell me that she had her baby girl (sophia) on Friday and had just got home :j . I'm really pleased as she was 13 days overdue, and they'd told her she would be early as this was her 3rd. She is one of my friends from the PGCE, and we are all going up there on Wednesday to see her, so I'm looking forward to that. :D

I'm glad it's the kitchen today pigpen as mine could really do with a good scrub as I put the dishwasher on while I was doing the dinner last night, and couldn't get all of the cooking stuff in there, so it is all in the sink :o

A big congratulations to lil_me for surviving moving house. I hope that you enjoyed a restful night now that you are away from nasty neighbours! Look forward to seeing you back when your internet is all connected up again!

Hugs to all of you who are feeling low, and for anyone else who needs them.
Nice to see you back Jill, or should that be SuperJill (I still can't get over how much you manage to get done in a day, especially with 3 little ones - you put me to shame).
Well done to all returners who have come back to flylady, and good luck to anyone trying it for the first time.

  • Morning ladies!

Congrats on your house move lil me, and thanks for the list pigpen. It's just me and OH, so no half term to worry about .. PHEW.

I was up early this morning as we were expecting the joiner, but he hasn't showed AGAIN. GRRRR .

And we spent hours yesterday chipping out all the old mortar from the stone wall we are restoring in the hallway to get ready for him to lay some of the floor today. There is SO much dust (and bits of wall!) it's unbelievable. Urrghhh.

Ah well, at least it's ready for re-pointing. Anyone know the best thing to clean plaster dust off stone?

Kitchen today! Yay! It's still pretty good from last week, so I'm adding some things to my wee list. I was bad last week and only lasted till Wednesday. I'm determined to make it all the way this week.

    Additional list

    - Meal plan for the week
    - List for butcher
    - List for fruit and veg guy
    - Make soup
    - Ironing
    - One more load of washing
    - £5 AQA

Have a lovely day everyone - hugs and congratulations to those who need them.
