  • Not been in too long. Just letting charlie eat his tea and then it will be the usual bathtime and evening routine.

I forgot to buy a wedding anniversary card for today, so luckily my early finish at work so i popped to the supermarket to get one, along with milk and tea bags that the in-laws consumed at a frightening rate this weekend. Also bought some nice salmon, and will make something really tasty for our meal tonight - thinking sweet potato jackets yummy.

actually managed to have my performance management observation lesson today, which on the surface i was pleased with - i only did one thing wrong which was finish 5 minutes early, but i covered that with talking some more to them about testing them after half term, and i think i fluffed it- i am sure he will still whinge at me but i removed as much ammunition as possible. ;)

Well done michelle for your performance management observation. I hate observations - they are never a true reflection on your teaching, cos nerves always affect how you perform. Anyway, I'm sure you did fine, and I bet you're glad it's all over now.

Have you tried sweet potato jackets with cottage cheese and black pepper ground on top? We love these in our house, as the cottage cheese is slightly sour, and compliments the sweetness of the potatoes nicely.

How about cooking the chicken fillets in a frying pan with chopped bacon, onions, some cream to make a sauce with a bit of grated cheese on the top? Serve with the new potatoes and some veg.

Kids are driving me mad. Lap lurker is back on my lap full of snot and tears again. His reading is getting too good as he can read some of my post.

All they keep doing is putting the tv on and I keep screaming at them to turn it off - they are obsessed and I am furious. Knew I'd be premenstral for half term - fun week ahead for all.

  • The ex has now moved almost the last of his stuff out. Just a few bits left apparently which he's picking up on wednesday evening.

It's going to be odd living by myself again, I'm not sure the whole reality of it all has actually sunk in yet

    Congratulation Mermaid!
Shirleypark....you're not along you have the rats and us! Just think you can go out and when you come back the house will be as you left it. Enjoy!

I managed the cutlery draw and emptied another draw too. Shut my eyes for five minutes earlier today and woke up two hours later. Can't wait to shake off this chest infection for good. DD still coughing like nobodies business. Children both being very helpful which is slightly un-nerving.

Looking at holidays for next year and everything is soooooooooo expensive. How do people afford to have several foreign holidays a year. Saying that, all my friends that manage it put it on the plastic which i'm not willing to do.

Right, popping out for another box of tissues.

    xx
