Thats a good plan SSG. No harm in trying. I do use YNAB Tilly but I need to use it to forecast and keep to the category totals, not just use it as a recording tool. Its just too easy to go over the budget for a particular category and just take it off the following month. So yes basically we need to spend less ;)

Lou - maybe just do a few pence at a time? And even once a week is better than nothing.

I was seeing something about doing £1 on Monday, £2 on Tuesday, £3 on Weds etc. I may try that and add in my pence as well. It means you make a TT every day which should be achievable.

Tomorrow!!!8217;s spends are some fresh salad and some cream crackers so we can do JO HM beef burgers. Must meal plan for next week but OH got a lush beef meat box from a local farm last week so we are well set up. DD1 asking for more veggie meals tho so that also needs to be thought about. Having an optimism attack. Not sure why. Feel content... hope everyone has a good Sunday. Love to you all x

And agree with the weather Tilly - we now have some new ladies :D Hopefully egg laying soon. Better priced than the last ones too :T Repaired the run and tidied the garden. Really nice to be out even though an overcast day. Maybe that!!!8217;s why I feel good now.. or maybe thats just the white wine and the wood burner :rotfl:

    Hooray for new chooks:j

So I calculated my savings rate as an experiment - ignoring the final salary pension which comes out of gross salary. Jan and Feb was 20% - higher than expected. This is because the current amount we pay on rent is lower than our previous mortgage payments (which we were overpaying on!); so we are swiping the extra into savings towards the new build. The other elements were just an ISA and a private pension payment. March was a misleading 37% as I got a bonus which all went into savings. Not as bad as I'd feared but there wasn't any pro-active saving in there, either. A useful exercise, thanks Brizzle
    0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Other debts paid since 1/1/14: £17,005

Pleased to hear it MFM! Go you! Very respectable figures.

Just having a hugely pricey day on the vehicles. Unbloodybelieveable suggestions from the garage. I may just walk away and hire a car when I need one... waiting for a call back as I have asked for all options, in writing. Never rains but it pours hey :(

In a holding position Beanie. Garage getting back to me but they know I am well hacked off. Hopefully they will get the manufacturer to see sense- but dealer needs to be proactive otherwise they will not be getting my custom ongoing and I will probably slam the door on my way out! We will see. Should know more tomorrow.

Going to a class in a minuet. Should be good for my anger issues :rotfl:
