Afternoon,
My current lap top is on it's last legs so thinking about getting a newer one, but which one ?
I know nothing about lap tops, other than I just need one for emails, search function etc, so don't need anything particularly fancy .
I have been looking at refurb models but would welcome some advice from you good folk out there !
Hoping you can help.
Many thanks .

Use the search function and come back with more specific questions.
Burning Tip : DO NOT buy one from PC world0 -
Go on Ebay, Thinkpad T420/T430 and get it specced with a SSD hard drive. There's a few refurbishers on there that are quite good.
This guy is one and allows you to fully configure the laptop.

No, No, No
Keep well away from any of these eMMC incorrectly described as SSD things ! Loads of them on sale in the usual stores to trap the unsuspecting. Many stories on here of being unable to do a Windows update due to lack of storage.
^^ It seems you mis-understand Chromebooks0 -

ChromeOS updates on 16GB will work fine, on the other hand.0 -
I know this is a chromebook but they do similar windows based machines. I just don't understand the point of them.0

Thank you so much for replying, my request was a little too brief, but do appreciate people taking time out to answer.0
