    Mrning all,

Off to London today down the wonderful M25. How depressing!

I have to agree that this is by far the friendliest thread I have ever encountered in MSE (see the acronims there?! - surely thats worth my next 'star'?!)... sorry, I get easily distracted.....

I have been on some of the credit card and loan threads and they take one look at my signature and suddenly I'm geting barraged with judgemental and frankly rude people who seem to know my entire financial situation and my life after just one post, or so they think anyway. Horrible.

I think this thread works so well cause we all know we are in it for the long run. We've all down 'hard time' with our debts and we know there will be more to come, so we have that common bond. We've conquered the initally fright of confronting our debts and we've settled into the long slow attrition of paying them off (sorry, I didn't mean that to sound as depressing as it it did!). Its funny though how after I had been 'offline' for six months after the birth of my daughter that this was the first thread I came back to and have stuck with. I think that says it all....

I hope this thread continues to be as nice as it always is and as welcoming as it always is - which frankly I don't doubt for a second.

As I always say, we will get there in the end and one day I'm sure we will look back on all this and laugh. Chin up peoples!

Catch up with you later if I ever escape the M25!

I agree. I keep flitting in and out of various posts and diaries, but always end up back here. I've not been on line for a couple of weeks as I've been in my time-share in Tenerife. Very relaxing - but very stressful waiting to see what was happening with all that volcano ash. Luckily went at the end of April just after the airports in London and Tenerife opened again and got back last week just before the Tenerife airport closed again

Happy you were right....200 posts for my lovely new star :j:j:j
Guess that just means I've spent too much time on here :D
Think anyone I know would question the 'moneysaving stalwart' bit by my name too :rotfl:

Congratulations Scooby. I've been here on and off for 6 years and only got 60 posts! :( I must try and come here more often - but in my defense I am on ebay more than here, selling all my boxes of magazines that I've bought since 1979 and never thrown out :D I also used to have a weekend job in my local Early Learning Centre too, working to get the debt down.

    Hi Steerpiker
Mmmm....Tenerife sun sounds lovely! :p To be honest it sounds like you've been spending your time a lot more wisely & profitably than me, although I am stupidly pleased with my new star :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The good thing about me being on here too much is that at least it keeps my mind focused on debt diminishing & of course it's FREE!!
I was on a bit of a mission too as Happy thought I might get my new star at 200 posts & I'd only made about 90 :rotfl: Simple pleasures......:D

I have to admit, I was very excited when I got my first star. I felt that I was now "part" of the gang. I'm pleased to see that I've got a lot of thanks for my posts, so I hope I'm writing quality posts - if not quantity :rotfl:

    Hello,

Hello to you steerpiker - nice to have you back.

Yes i survived the M35, although I've just written the M35 instead of M25 so clearly I didn't escape unscathed! I hate that road. I'm back down the road tomorrow but thankfully not near that horrible place!

Well the big cuts are on the way. We've already had a ban on overtime imposed. We've now been told we will lose all weekend working by Xmas, so I'll drop at least £200 a month. Not good, but I've been here before and I'm not going to worry about it, cause soemthing always seems to work out. I'll just have to sell my body or something. Form an orderly queue.....ok, don't all laugh at once, thats just mean.

Seriously though I'm not too happy but it was expected. Everyone is having to accept cuts just now so it was only a matter of time. I'm keeping my chin up, and it hasn't happened yet so I'm hoping it may all change by xmas. We'll see what will happen.

    Like your new motto HPGDF!

How is everyone out there? Hope we're all good! :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'm guessing Scooby that the person who told you you were in an irritatingly good mood was having a rather grumpy day?

    How's every-one doing?

Happy, I need to look into The Secret, you really seem to have go a lot out of it. Loving the affirmation :D.
