I think you are doing well, keep paying minimums until wedding and then bust that debt to pieces. Have you seen how well Hypno is doing so impressive.

Dont panic if things slip a bit itll happen the key it to just to step back and start again. Nearly everyone with longer term debt finds it hard to stay focused 100% on debt busting when life gets in the way.

The kids are a strain on body and finances but worth it. I believe they helped my grow up alot and focus

Thanx you guys, ive never read hypnos diary, also i actually dont do any quidicos or things i just do extra shifts and we seem to manage i dont think id manage well if i dod other things because id panic we couldnt cope with our debt when i first came on here someone said i needed a dmp and i was rather upset because although my amount is huge i felt we could manage it alone and i ntend to do so.. my dad keeps saying i should go bankrupt i cant make him see sense i dont intend to ... i think i can keep to my plan im a likkle soldier when i need to be jon keeps me ok if he ever said no things are going t*ts up i think id sign myself into a clinic he thinks im bizarre im messing all the time with figures making targets thats the only way i feel like im doing something... its very frustrating at the moment knowing all my money is for wedding but i know its for a good day i cury sometimes knowing that id get more satisfaction paying debt that clearing my wedding you people are a god send if im debt free in 2012 i pledge a golden handshake cheque to our liottle group to help someone i do you mark my words xxx

I'm obsessed with the spreadsheets too! I can't help fiddling. Its completely addictive. My OH does too though, we're constantly looking through, tweaking and adjusting.
Just think, after the wedding, if you have a bad day, you can sit and look at your photos and remember what this is all about, building a great new life for you and OH. I love weddings! I have 3 to go to next year, I shall be ebaying for hats and dresses!!

i borrowed all my outfits off friends saved me a bargin plus i stashed bottles with alcohol in my bag and topped my cola with them it was cheap as chips for me x

ooo, thats a great idea. For one of them, my OH is best man, and the wedding is uber posh, so I'm hoping its a free bar! hehe. Also might get a free hotel room if we're lucky...

Thank goodness oh stopped you getting the loan...I do really really worry for you HTGDF...the only way to get out of debt is STOP spending and get paying...Please, please stop using your cc's...you are paying thousands and thousands of pounds interest a year and the sooner you get shot of them the better. Using another card is not the answer. What do you spend each month on things like food/bills etc? Is there any leverage on lowering this? I know its really hard but I really worry that if you carry on spending and using cards you will come a cropper because there will come a point when you cannot pay and then the decisions will no longer be in your hands.
I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but I really dont think you understand how serious being in that much debt is from the comments youve made.I really, really hope that you start to understand this soon as would hate to see things go from bad to worse. I dont know what industry you work in but if its finance then there could also be serious consequences in terms of work...I feel bad typing this as feel sure it will upset you but have tried the softly softly approach (well my verson of it...ie by saing I dont know how you sleep etc) and its not worked ....am only doing it as I care and want you to be debt free. Paying debts doesent have to be horribe...its just about learning to live a new way....

in search of me my posts must come across wrong I don't spend on my credit cards I just pay them off minimum payment at the moment until wedding paid for x my mum has all my credit cards and ohs credit cards. Honestly I'm fine with paying my debt I just get upset that I have to pay big sums out hehe. I understand you are worried but our debt is between two, I can understand how my amount of debt looks so big but no point been doom and gloom so I try and keep happy and keep focused when I first had my light bulb moment I couldn't sleep but since then we have between us had a 12k payrise so I imagine that us helped us out. I also don't work in the financial sector not my area I'm health service based x I must read what I write I must portray myself wrong x

sorry I dont mean to nag but have been genuinely worried for you...topped by your comment that you were thinking of getting another loan...will shut up now I think for me at least you come accross that it doesent really worry you that much...I agree totally that no point being doom and gloom but guess theres a balance. As you say its you're money an your situation but I wouldnt be a good and honest dfw friend if I didnt say and you have full permission to say when I go awry (which is fairly regular!)...
Anyway back to the uilt I go...have a nasty feeling I have miscalc somewhere!
