Just signed up to a new 12 month contract with Talktalk and they have carried my existing Sky sports boost forward for another 18 months at discount rate of £8.50 a month.

Just wondering how do they manage to do this when Sky charge £34 per month for same Sky sports?

Ok I do admit I would prefer it through the Sky box than the Talktalk youview box as Sky box would be faster etc, but still a good deal for £8.50.

Overall current package is,

1 faster fibre. £22.50 (I believe if you renew contract before 28 march you get £2.50 knocked off from the usual £25)
2 Uk unlimited calls free for 18 months usually £8.50.
3 International Max calls (1000 mins usually £10) to landlines and mobiles free for 12 months.
4 Sky sports boost for 18 months usually £34 now £8.50 a month.

Total £31. I was paying £33.50 for the above currently so pleased to even say £2.50 on that.

Usually I find it does pay to haggle, if you don't ask you don't get.

Shows how much TT are making on the boost if they usually charge £34 for it but are offering it for £8.50! I wonder what price they pay to Sky for each customer.....

They might not make any on it at £8.50, it might even be a loss. They make their money on the broadband.
