I went elsewhere after the policy anyway, but I made sure to declare all accidents to the new insurance company.
I think I’ll do the same. It makes me nervous that they haven’t listed it despite plenty of notification. If I ring them, I’ll probably be told the same thing which will leave me worrying about a possible voided policy sometime in the future.
At least with a new company, I can make sure it’s declared.0 -
Yes, it is with Direct Line. Is this common with them?
I’m reluctant to ring them again just because there won’t be a record of it. I’d prefer to contact them in writing about it (for a second time!).
You can still ring if you do prefer. All insurance companies record their calls. Note the date and time of the call and ask for the person's name. My mum had a dispute with her insurer and requested that they listen back to a previous phone call, after which they backed down.
Obviously you might still prefer to put things in writing, but also sharing for anyone else's benefit.0
