  • The Expedia screw up department is the highest "authority" you can complain to.

    You're not out of pocket, so Money Claim Online would serve little benefit.

    My understanding with many hotel booking firms is that their T&Cs allow them to retain your card details. You've probably ticked a box agreeing to something.

    I'd let it go in the same situation.
