Excel parking

I drove into one of excels car parks to look for a space I sat and waited 15 mins or so but still none came available as it was rammed pack full. Plus there wasn't any marked bays and people had just been parking in any old fashion. They have sent letters saying that I owe them 60, 100, 160££ now. I have had letters from some sort of debt collection company and from what I have read on these forums I just need to ignore them all.
Is this true and I'm not really sure what to do. Could anyone help please?

Excel can be safely ignored. Its a scam. Have a good read on here about private parking companies and relax. If you are scared by the threatening letters you will receive then post back here for reassurance.

That is out of date, it is not good advice nowadays.

Yes, happily... read nothing earlier than 2017.

Start by reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

If you go back from here, use your browser's back button, you will see a thread entitled:
**NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!

That's the thread you are looking for.
