Cheery's country living adventure

Ha, I regularly have Hogwarts library ambience videos on while I'm working, would love to have one in a meeting
We've only just got MS Teams at work so nobody'sn using it yet except when we're invited to someone else's outside meeting, which doesn't seem the right place for experimenting!
I've got a meeting just me and the boss at 11, will see if I can do some zoom make up experiments and report back6 -
LOL - today my colleague remarked on how 'posh' my living room was & that it's exactly what she'd expect my house to look like - I'm close enough to her to say that my salary does not extend to designer furniture 🤣 - we spent the next 5 minutes laughing!!!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!6

RT!! How funny. I confess I couldn't find any make up feature (beyond the 'touch up your apearance' blurring function, which I've had on for months) so my experiments stalled!
Bit of a funny one today. Some progress made at work and a nice chat with a couple of colleagues. I took a long lunch break and Mr Cheery helped me put some insulation up, it's much quicker with two! I've got three more sections to do now (got to save the rest for Mr Cheery to decide about extra bolts, and I'm almost out of insulation, so I'll order more at the weekend so it's here when I need it.
Wickes order STILL isn't herecustomer services sending me daily updates ('the tracker says it will be delivered today') which I have pointed out are quite unhelpful, since the tracker has been saying it would be delivered every day since last Thursday... I'll give them tomorrow, then I'll be cancelling.
My new phone screen cover arrived today! It's taken weeks to get here. But it is SO nice being able to see the entire screen, like having a whole new phone! The old one didn't reach the edges, and was sticky and tatty. Not convinced I've stuck this one quite hard enough, the letter a is proving elusive occasionally...
Nowt else to report I don't think. The chickens' corn arrived, so they're pleased about that. We managed a walk in the daylight/dusk so that was nice. And I had a nice quorn curry for tea! All good

You need this Cheery! https://www.loreal-paris.co.uk/signature-faces2

Ha, I spotted an article about that, but there was no link to the thing itself - and then I figured I should probably stop messing and get on with some work
Maybe at the weekend!
Well the Cheery household is in a muddle this morning - we have run out of milk, AND I have run out of tablets! What a palaver. We knew the milk was low, and just could not be bothered going to the shop yesterday... I was feeling rather bloated after drinking lots of tea in quick succession during the day anyway.
Of course this morning I have a caffeine withdrawal headache and have had to resort to tea with almond milk, better than nowt (we have both that AND UHT in the stores, so it's not as much of an emergency as it might be).
And my tablets! I m SO annoyed at myself. I knew it was the last in the packet, but didn't realise it was the last packet... I'm sure I wouldn't die without them, but it's thyroxine and I have no thyroid, so I'd likely be feeling a bit ropey after 4 days without them... Fortunately the surgery were very helpful and I should be able to collect my prescription today, very shame-facedly...
The sun is shining, I'm struggling to get going but hopefully this tea will help as I have a LOT to do! Mr Cheery hs an errand to run today so I should get the house to myself for a couple of hours, although won't be able to make the most of it as I'll have to go out for this prescription and likely won't hve got all my work done!
And will the Wickes delivery arrive today?? Who knows. If it's not here by the time I go for my prescription, I'll go to B&Q on the way home. My boots should be here today (60% off!) - more excited about those than the staple gun at the minute...4 -
You have been far more patient with Wickes than I would have been. They've obviously built up some credit with you!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......7

They have indeed SJ. They used to be our closest DIY shop and I spent a fortune there doing up our old house, was in there every day sometimes
And a couple of weeks ago we had another delivery from them - it didn't go through when I ordered so I did it again - they rang before sending it out to check I did really want 2 as they'd both gone through. I failed to answer the phone, so they brought 2, but the driver again checked if I wanted both. He then had to leave them at the top of the drive because the truck couldn't get down in the ice but not blaming him for that
So yes, they have built up points with me in the past, I certainly prefer them to B&Q which are our closest now - more expensive, less well stocked etc. They've used up most of those goodwill points now though!6 -
Well
Prescription collected, and I did go to B&Q...
Good jobGet home to find the parcel had arrived in the normal mail. Hooray! But it feels quite light for a staple gun, I thought...
Opened it to find two boxes of staples, and this...Clearly not going to be much good for attaching the mesh to the chicken run extension!!

I wonder if the staple gun is coming separately and the hanging strips are a gift? 😃Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family6 -
I'd love to think that BB, but sadly the delivery note says there's a staple gun in there. There's even a signature (wel, scrawl) from the person who supposedly packed the staple gun 😂 They've sent the staples I ordered! Just not the gun to put them in 😂7
