Flight Admin Charges

Help!!! I have booked a flight only deal through Thomas Cook. I want to change the flights from May until September and have been told I have to pay the admin fee (£140) twice as it is beyond three months. Apparently, I have to rebook for August as it within 3 months of the original booking for May and then rebook again from August till September, incurring a second set of charges. Has anyone else experienced this problem and worked a way round it? I am happy to pay once but not twice.

section 18 of the T&Cs is where changes by you are covered
Note 1: If there has been an increase between the original fare paid and the current fare available at the time the change is made, you will be required to pay this. No refund will be given if the current fare is lower. It is not possible to transfer your booking to a departure date more than 3 months after your original travel date without incurring cancellation charges.

you might find it cheaper to do a completely new booking -
