Handed in my notice at work today. I have accepted a new job with a different trust
Also finished my first placement and loved it.
Got some uni marked back also: reflective report 43% group presentation 69%. Considering that the other tutor group only got 40% for the presentation I am happy!Debt £7976 | Savings £350Aims: Buy first home 2026-8. £20k deposit0 -
Finished at my old trust yesterday. Still don't have shifts with my new trust! I have the contracts just no contact with the manager since 21st June despite me emailing him multiple times. Bank staffing haven't been much better, no idea about getting uniform, ID, booking shifts etc and getting through to them is a nightmare.
Thankfully I am also bank for yet another trust so I can work with them for the mean time. I don't need my perm position (it was a means to get onto bank) I;d just like to know what is going on. Will be ringing everyone on Monday.
Oh and I own hours at the job I've just left so have to wait for my next payslip to see what I actually get, if anything.Debt £7976 | Savings £350Aims: Buy first home 2026-8. £20k deposit0 -
Finally got through to the bank, turns out I can't start work before I have done my manual handling training then a supernumerary shift. Earliest training date is 13th August!!
Also pay is monthly in arrears so anything I do in August won't get paid till end of September. Now trying really hard to get my head around paying my bills etc. Working bank at another trust over August (weekly pay) to cover September when I will also get a pay for training from other trust.
If I stay getting paid monthly, trying to figure out how to get a salary for October as any shifts worked in September won't be paid till end of October. Maybe best to ask to go weekly (can't do before getting first pay!) so I'd get paid weekly in September to cover October. The only way I see doing this is working every day possible through August till I start uni placements then what I don't need for September to save for October.Debt £7976 | Savings £350Aims: Buy first home 2026-8. £20k deposit0 -
I'm back!!!!!
Still at uni (about to finish 1st year) and have changed jobs yet again. I am now just bank at my old trust.
In July I started a perm position in a different just (as well as joining the bank there) but they weren't flexible like they said they would be and placements also weren't flexible. I had a bank contract also but could only work in that department for the 1st 3 months then my manager needed to sign me off?! Well I left the perm position in November and at the same time the trust removed me from bank as my old manager hadn't given them a date for when I started bank, my manager said they would give them a date once I'd booked a shift but HR only wanted when I started bank as I wasn't actually going to do any more shifts in that department but in the rest of the hospital. Needless to say I'm done with that trust.
I finish my final placement this week then til Feb I am working as much as possible, once I'm bank at uni I'll be doing 1-1.5 days a week max.
I've worked out my budget for the whole of next year, it includes saving as well as paying as much of my debt off as possible.

The bottom 4 are all with DCA's and not on my credit report anymore. I'm currently in dispute with these ones. Aqua + Capital One I am paying off in full in Jan/Feb.
Natwest + JD Williams have finally defaulted me, Cashplus should very soon and Very will default when pigs fly apparently. I have 1 default about to fall of report, 3 active & new and 3 to appear anytime. I think I've got a new hobby of default collecting :rotfl:Debt £7976 | Savings £350Aims: Buy first home 2026-8. £20k deposit0 -

So what has changed? Not much
Natwest Loan £4888 - Defaulted, haven't heard anything since 08/18, with DCA
Natwest OD £748 - Defaulted, haven't heard anything since 08/18, with DCA
Barclays OD £500
Very £767 - Finally defaulted, with DCA
JD Williams £1740 - Finally defaulted, with DCA
Marbles [STRIKE]£676[/STRIKE] 605
Aqua [STRIKE]£200[/STRIKE] 0
Capital One [STRIKE]£200[/STRIKE] 164
CashPlus [STRIKE]£300 [/STRIKE]280 - - Defaulted, haven't heard anything for months
Credit Union [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] 0
David Lloyd £480 - Haven't heard anything for months [not on report], with DCA
QQ £581 - Heard nothing in months [not on report], with DCA
Trugym £86 - Heard nothing in months [not on report], with DCA
Lending Stream £86 - Heard nothing in months [not on report], with DCA
I am aiming to pay off the credit cards by the end of the year with some money juggling. The debts with DCA I'm currently not paying, at least one doesn't have my CCA.
Under two years and I'll have qualified and have a much improved income. Can't wait to move out of the current flat.Debt £7976 | Savings £350Aims: Buy first home 2026-8. £20k deposit0 -
So I currently have 5 defaults, 2 with a DCA. I am looking to default on 2 more credit cards as I might as well mess up my credit report more at this point rather than in the future.
I am not paying anything to any debt just yet but I am looking to set up my own dmp for small amounts and look to get settlement offers every 12 months. Lowell (Very) have already offered me a 20% discount. Goal is to pay everything off in under 6 years and having only the loan left once I qualify (2021).
Hear nothing from Natwest since last year when they mentioned a DCA.
Nothing from Trugym, Cashplus or Lending Stream and David Lloyd (ARC) no longer have my account.Debt £7976 | Savings £350Aims: Buy first home 2026-8. £20k deposit0
