I've recently bought a Moto X4 for £199. It's a great phone for the money.
Wish you luck! My experience with a G5+ was good for the first 7 months then totally downhill with what have become well known worldwide problems affecting the Moto/Lenovo brands.
Don't want to frighten you but a bit of googling might forewarn you what to look out for and how rubbish Moto customer service is.0 -

My advice is DON'T.
Google Moto G5 plus problems and look at the Lenovo forum and you'll see why!0 -

I also got the same deal yesterday from CPW. I had been waiting for the Moto G6 to come out but for the price the X4 is excellent. I really don't see the point in paying hundreds more for a "flagship" model0 -

Wish you well with it, however I've just (successfully) finished a long battle with CPW to get a refund for a Moto G5+ that became faulty with one of the many known worldwide faults and didn't improve despite being returned to Motorola for repair.
CPW are not allowed to do any repairs to Moto handsets so these have to be returned to Moto for repair - this is arranged by you at your cost and with no help from CPW.
Motorola used to be a good solid brand and company, not so since Lenovo took over. I suggest you do some googling and see what problems might be lurking around the corner.0 -
Definitely needs to be android.
She likes Samsung handsets but could be swayed elsewhere.
Thanks everyone for the replies so far!
Your welcome. Just don't believe all the glowing so called "expert" reviews for various new handsets, because unfortunately none of the reviewers ever do a long term user test, that was the mistake I made with the G5+.
Like I said earlier googling can show up a lot of potential issues.
Good luck.0
