Passed ESA assessment but the report has lies

Similar happened to me with PIP. I got awarded it but was outraged they didn't give me the points for things that are real struggles.
My husband wrote on my behalf about it, they refused to change my points, don't know if I they fully reassessed me but wanted to make a point of saying they hadn't listened to a word said.It will affect if I claim in future but at least the letter bringing this up exists. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. No, it's not the least bit dangerous. You're assessed based on your condition at the time of your assessment, not on your condition at your previous assessment.
Besides, not challenging is not the same as agreeing. For some of us, the assessment is actually dangerous due to the way it affects our mental health, so risking another assessment just because the assessor is an eejit is a spectacularly bad idea.
Unfortunately in the world occupied by the DWP and it's assessing agents, they DO work on the basis by way of assumption if you fail to try to rectify what is wrongly stated on the assessors report. The assumption is that if it isn't challenged it must be right.
Take another example. The assessor states that you quickly walked into the assessing room unaided and not out of breath. Then at a later date the DWP accept that that could not be the case as the claimant has debilitating leg ulcers and suffers from Pulmonary Fibrosis which is evidenced by the repeat prescription. You get 0 points.
At the next re-assessment all that the assessor sees is what the previous assessor wrote. and certainly would not have access to the MR documentation that changed the award to 12 points for mobility.
By not challenging the contents of the earlier report with ATOS/CAPITA the assumption that they would make would be to re-iterate what was written on that earlier report.
I have had similar, where on a re-assessment the form and previous assessment documentation was returned to ATOS, the re-assessment report was almost identical to the first report!0 -
Another vote for leaving well alone.
Particularly if the assessment said you were on antidepressants, when you are not.
If you don't think you would get into the SG, then complaining / an MR could easily result in the award being taken away from you. I've seen it happen.
Please forget it and move on.
This is an example of why routinely requesting the PA4 report can be a bad idea.
You will get it as part of the appeal process (if there is a need to appeal a decision- which the OP doesn't), and obsessing about inaccuracies when an award has been given can jeopardise that award or worsen mental health.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Dekaspace, if its any comfort my PIP assessor has stated things that weren't done, plus wild assessments as to what I can and can't do that go against evidence she has already stated earlier in the report having read lol.
If you are happy with the result, its probably not worth the hassle of complaining. We all know these assessors rarely tell the truth, unfortunately. Including the DWP. I am afraid no one really cares. Its like an unstoppable force unfortunately. People know the system is unfair and doesn't work, but no one seems prepared to do anything meaningful to stop the assessment bus or make it more honest. I wish they would.0 -
I understand where op is coming from. Apart from my WCA report being full of incorrect things that weren't even touched on at the assessment, the assessor said that I live at home with my son..........but I don't even have a son. MR said there were no inaccuracies in the report. It makes me sick that they can get away with blatant lies.
Am currently gathering as much further medical evidence as possible for appeal, but I am running out of fight.:snow_grin"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow........":snow_grin0 -

Someone is trying to change it. They recommended recording all assessments, putting a greater focus on evidence from the claimant's specialists, and bringing the assessments back in house if the outsourcing companies continue to fail to meet the quality standards, among other things.

I'm waiting to see if the Government ignore it as they usually do.
Now am I actually reading you right? PIP started in April 2013 and it's now March 2018 and for each year in between both ATOS and CAPITA have never yet met the targets set.
So how many more years will the DWP need to decide that?0
