Ah STS for me this week
Really disappointed as have been totally on plan the whole week as no meals out to de-rail me and have also been running every other day with pilates every day. I'm trying to convince myself that I might have put on some muscle?!:o
Thanks for all the tips re: pink jeans! Am looking forward to when I can finally go and try some on. I met up with a friend who I hadn't seen in a while and she asked immediately whether I had lost weight (she didn't know that I'd been trying to), so that was very encouraging. I'm seeing some more friends in a month's time and I'd really like to have lost another half stone by then so that they can see the difference but at this rate it's not likely to happen
Well done to everyone this week! Challenging weather conditions for most :eek:0 -

My scales fortunately don't measure in fractions of a pound. I'd find that very demoralising! It does mean I sometimes have to wait a bit longer to see them move downwards and it's not great if they bounce up a pound occasionally but that's often quite short lived.
Do people generally find it helpful to have more precise measurements? I've got the Aria ones which synch with my Fitbit so I don't have to log my weight separately (other than on here) and apart from the fact they seem to burn through batteries at an alarming rate, I quite like them.0 -
Back from residential and am in tact! Ended up not being too good whilst away as I got a bit carried away with toast/porridge and cooked breakfast as I normally don't have the luxury! Did have salad with every meal though and didn't snack between meals. Won't be weighing in until Wednesday but home scales seem to suggest that I'm same as before I left on Wednesday so looks like currently, no damage has been done. Hoping it stays that way.
Did have a non-scale victory whilst away as all the teachers who went decided to buy matching t-shirts. I picked up the large and a colleague suggested it would be too big and to get the medium. Was very dubious but tried it on and it fit perfectly! Hooray - and to think I used to have to buy XXXL and quite often wouldn't even be able to buy stuff in gift shop type places.
Was able to take part in all the activities too with no worries of any weight limits and all the safety harnesses etc fit with no problems. Good job I'd lost the weight too as my kids decided that it would be hilarious to push me off of our raft and into the lake so the instructor had to lift me out by my life jacket. He didn't even struggle which felt great!
Bodycombat is booked for tomorrow night so going to try and get back into a routine for this last week of term despite lots of meeting this week.0 -

SSM is this sons wedding you're off to? That's come around quickly! Did you sort out your outfit? I could just do with a month in warmer climes right now... absolutely fed up of this arctic weather. I know what you mean Beanie about the snow being bad for SW - the last thing I want to be eating is watermelon, which should only be eaten when it's 25 degrees or more!
Great losses Poohsticks, Nicki, Tweets and GTS.
TIE, ChrisV, CattyCat and Shelliknitter, keep at it - it'll come good at some point.
MrsR glad to hear you had a good trip to York - one of my favourite places.
Denise have a lovely break, hope you get good golfing weather.
Well Done Missteach on surviving the residential!
Keep warm everyone.0 -
