I certainly don't blame you on the coffee front!!
Sounds like the sleep has done you the world of good already! Have a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I think I'm pleased with that lot, just the listing, scanning and packing, and I didn't really expect to do those this morning. And I'm pacing myself wellOff to sister's now. Hope everyone is having a good day, not too stressed.

Is there a shop where you can get it weighed out? I go into heavenly smell overdrive in proper coffee shops.
Well, yes, but when I say basic, I mean Tesco/Sainsbury basic range, at £1.06 or £1.19 for 250g - I don't think the specialist shops are quite going to go there! When I'm debt-free....Good luck with the shopping, i am trying to muster up the energy to do some!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hope you have a good time at your sister's! And those last minute shopping bits go well. I should be doing the same (shopping) but it would seem to be my turn for the cold/ cough/ temperature so it's a day on the sofa here. Oh no Squizz! You poor thing - hope you're doing okay now.
I had a *lovely* time at my sister's, it went really well. My youngest nephew is 21 next week, and wanted a quiet celebration, so today we just sang happy birthday; we all sat and chatted, the kids and I about science fiction and making money online, which they hadn't been telling their mum about, so I think she really enjoyed hearing stuff her kids don't normally tell her. It was very warm.
Pacing myself to get there  I was so late going for the train, I got a bus partway - luckily when he realised I only wanted to go one stop he let me on free. Sweet man ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! I've been tidying up my inbox, doing surveys when I can (and getting screened out) and sent a couple of emails to people - one to my sister, and one about genealogy and Christmas to a distant cousin. That feels good.
Today, its a quiet one. I was booked to go see my business partner and his family for a social visit, but they're down with a deep lurgy, so I'm not going near them :rotfl:
Instead, it will be listing, scanning, packing and working in the garden:eek: for a bit, I'm not going to let the garden go again. And there'll be a few phone calls in there too, of course. Shopping tomorrow.
And I was just on Benben's thread, and there's a mention of a Will Hill offer. Since I let the ***£100*** VC offer slip through my fingers, I'll go find out what that one's about.
Benben is a saint when it comes to doing the biz on matched betting - its a lot smarter than trekking about doing mystery shopping for a pound an hour. Off I go. With coffee.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ah that sounds like a lovely day. And what a nice bus driver! Are you up to much today? I've been in bed since 8pm yesterday but feel a bit better, and really will have to get up and do stuff in a bit! Have a good day x (edit, you sneaked on there while i was posting ;-)Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Hiya! Hope you're a bit better, Squirrel, you've taken a bad knock I know. Yes, that bus driver was nice - I was hoping he'd do it, to be honest, one has done it before in similar circumstances, thats why I asked for the next bus stop, but we're not entitled to it, of course. It certainly gives a warm feeling.
Today is pretty basic - just been sending another email, to my beloved American cousin, and putting the kettle on for another cup of coffee.
I want to do some work on the garden today, but that will mean I'll have to address the dog/cat/fox poo situationnot looking forward to that - but I have quite a lot of coffee grounds that need to be dumped on the site for the veg patch, so that has to get done. Also the listing and scanning, and generally tidying up the kitchen - I'd like to do a bit of painting (walls) in there when I get back from Christmas, so I'd like it to be almost ready for me to do that then. There's actually a lot of bare plaster right now, and since my friend who lives in a very chic Docklands apartment is coming to my house for the first time, I'd like it to look a *tiny* bit better than it does. Not for her, for me.
What do you think you want to do today? I can't see you doing too much, you don't sound like you have the health right now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Sounds like a nice day... apart from the poo! Luckily I did important stuff like paying bills on Friday, but need to sort out clothes for going away so will probably do that today.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Morning! Addressed some of the poo problem yesterday by stepping in it  there's no emoticon for feeling sick or I'd put that there..... I dug over a bit of the veg-plot-to-be (like, about two square feet) to put the coffee grounds down, then sawed off quite a few branches from trees that need pruning, and put them over the area so no poo goes there. The soil is full of little tiny roots, I might need to do a lot of building up.
Did *naff* all otherwise, but at least I've just done the scanning -for heaven's sake, its only 7 photos! What did I do with myself yesterday??? Not a clue. Have just been chucking the preliminary bits of packing in my counselling room, and obviously that all needs to get done today, as I'm off tomorrow.
Otherwise, today I have a dental hygienist appointment, and then I have to buy a few bits and bobs. And I have a six hour train journey tomorrow. I'm dreading the flu-germ contact, I *really* don't want this flu. I might just do the wrapping of what I've got here, which will also save me weight on the journey, and then just shop locally on Christmas Eve. In fact, I think I will.
Off for brekkie and packing. Hope everyone has a good day.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
