    :hello: Morning!

Well, work at home is all done and dusted, just got London to go now.

I spent quite a while yesterday tidying up and clearing away, and a load of washing in the machine - because I'm away for so long, I want to spend as little time as possible doing stuff like that. Felt very satisfactory to come down to this morning. The result is I have ten more items to list on amazon right now - they won't sell before Christmas, of course, and I'll have to delist them before I go away, but they'll be ready to list again for the New Year.

And that leads on to the next bit. I'm going to start a new diary when I come back, I have some ideas about what I need to do to move forward, and I'll use the natural break to move forward. I'm really excited about next year now. Just had a little bit of time to sit back and think about how things are going, what I want from life, and I think 2009 will be the year when I turn it all around.

Its still 2008 tho! So today:
    - done scratchcards, 55p in total.
    - quidco payment of 75p :rotfl:
    - I'll list those ten items on amazon.
    - will do a trade if a signal comes up.
    - clear the kitchen, & have an early lunch before going up to London.

Hope everyone has a good day:xmassign:

I've got no email yet, which is sad because there is £110 supposedly ready to pay out, which would be an excellent start to 2009's debtbusting!

 I came back onlne to have a rant about the trainline, and immediately felt better when I saw all of this - thanks guys! :kisses3:

Hypno, that *is* a serious amount of dosh - but Squizz beat us both :rotfl:

The new one will be a continuation of this one, of course, but about working smart, rather than hard - thats it, basically. I've worked hard all my life, apart from the odd sabbatical few months, and its time to take a step back and work smart. Can you tell what the title will be?

I'm away for Christmas on Tuesday - which is why the contact with the trainline. I had a problem with the route of the train ticket I booked, and had to cancel. That was literally about two months ago, and ever since then I've been trying to get my money back - they're quick enough to take it. I finally rang them today, and they *say* a refund was issued yesterday  well, they've never said it before, so it *might* be true. I know that I'll never use them again, ever. I'll go back to Virgin Trains.

    Have a lovely day all!

 Morning! Lovely long sleep for me, over 7 hours in bed, a real achievement, and I feel a lot better for it... something I'll have to add to the "opening statement" for the new diary, I think.

In going to London yesterday, expenses were 50% of earnings, so my net income was just over £4 an hour. I was morally obliged to do it, but ouch. Still, its all money in the bank, and its a lot better than my rate for mystery shopping often is.

Main focus today is going to see my sister ... or not .... her MiL has fallen ill, and she might have to go do a Florence Nightingale. If I'm just thinking about *here*, however:
    - do the washing up, the old story
    - those ten items to list on amazon, so I can relist them fresh when I get back from my Christmas trip.
    - one last load of washing.
    - done scratchies - 35p to my name :rotfl:
    - a bit of photo scanning, photos I borrowed from my mum and need to take back to her.
    - start to pack    this will be the shocker. Some pressies I've bought need to be wrapped.

    - EDIT: the mystery shop I did last Saturday - I phoned them and emailed them, and they never got either, so I have to input it again.

There's some last minute Christmas shopping that needs to be done, but that can be on Monday, when I need to go out anyway.

And I have ground coffee again - I buy the Basics range now, but I've been on instant for 5 days, and I can't stand it :D blame the German lodger's parents, they stayed with me years ago, and I continually had the smell of properly brewed, proper strength coffee in the house for days. Never kicked the addiction, never wanted to!

  • I don't blame you on the coffee KC, i love fresh coffee, but mostly drink tea at home.
Is there a shop where you can get it weighed out? I go into heavenly smell overdrive in proper coffee shops.
Good luck with the shopping, i am trying to muster up the energy to do some!
