Received over £2000 into my bank account for PIP. However haven't received any confirmation letter, so no idea what level or anything. What should I do??
Perfectly normal to receive a payment in the bank before the letter arrives. Ringing them to ask is the only way to know.

I have been awarded standard rate for pip first payment due 15 Sept but I have checked my account and it's not in. What do I do. I'm currently on the phone in a very long Que it suggests looking at web site which I have done but I cannot find any way of requesting my query. Please advise

@dawndonaldson74 firstly, you are posting on a public forum for saftey and security reasons please remove your phone number from your comment.
To answer your question all you can do is wait for DWP to answer the phone but waiting times can be long. You've also posted on the end of a thread that's almost 2 years old, starting your own thread is always better.

    Thank you for your time

As above remove phone number & Name

I would check back in your bank account.
1st payments are often made weeks before the letter is received and will include a backdated amount.

  • I've just received a payment from PIP DWP into my bank account. I had a PIP assessment 3 weeks ago. It's nice to know I've been awarded PIP but I haven't received a reward letter with the specific details. Will it appear in the mail sometime this week? How long should I leave before contacting them?

You've posted your question on the end of someone else's thread, which always causes confusion and for this reason it's always better to start your own thread.
To answer your question, it's perfectly normal for payment to go into your bank account before the award letter is received. The letter will arrive in the next week, i'm sure. If you can't wait that long then ring DWP tomorrow morning when they open and ask what the decision is and they'll tell you.

The letter and payment are usually issued at the same time but the payment arrives more quickly so before the letter.
